"Uh, no. This is it."

He had one pretty big bag with clothes/shoes in it and the other one had his bow and his equipment. His quiver was thrown across his shoulders, which seemed a little bit out of place while he was wearing jeans and a t-shirt. His occupation didn't leave a lot of room for personal possessions, due to the fact of always being on assignment or in different parts of the world tracking down people S.H.I.E.L.D. wanted taken care of. And that's what this was, another assignment, the Avengers one. It was not one that he was particularly looking forward to. This wasn't going to be his home whatever Stark assumed. At least 'Tash had been assigned to it as well, there was comfort in that fact.

He'd taken a look at the building while making his way here and had to say it looked pretty impressive, though the last time he'd looked at it, it'd been a little worse for wear. It'd be an interesting place to stay for the time being, and the view would be amazing.

"That's it...?" Tony repeated, he thought that was a joke and expected a continuation to the statement, but there wasn't, "Not even things in storage? Your room is going to be pretty big... Just-," he leaned to either side searching for more stuff hidden behind the man, finding nothing he stood back up straight, "...that."

"Okay." he said, "Well, let's take you and 'all your stuff' inside."

He motioned to the doorway, "I don't want to leave you standing out here, looking like you're some kind of door-to-door hunting equipment salesman. People are going to think I have an interest in that. I can see the magazine headlines, now... "

"They've probably come up with worse." he answered, half smirking at the idea of it, trying to get rid of the slightly uncomfortable feeling he had when Stark gave him that weird confused look at his lack of luggage. Not everyone in the world needed well....everything in the the world.

Shrugging one bag over his shoulder, Clint started up the stairs, vaguely wondering what exactly Stark considered a 'big' room size to be, he had a feeling that no matter how large he thought it would be, that it would still surprise him and trained his expression to a careful neutral state.

"Yeah, they have." he responded, not really wanting to talk about that. He gave Clint a friendly pat on the back when he neared and ushered him through the doorway. He accompanied him through the large and open lobby leading to one of the elevators, waving at certain people that were bustling around and ignoring certain others. He diverted some of the more curious attention away from Clint with an expertise, a few fancy words their way, and made sure they continued on.

Once inside he tapped on a screen that was situated above the elevator's buttons, typing in a code, and soon they were headed up to the higher floors of the tower. He stood up straight after that, crossing his arms, and glanced to Clint out of the corner of his eye. He then lasted a whole ten seconds in silence.

"So, what's your excuse for moving in?" Tony blurted out, "Or rather, what that question really means is, what's Fury's excuse?"

He would never actually voice it, but he was glad that Stark keep the attention away from himself so efficiently, he wasn't one for direct attention (or so many people in one place) and it made him acutely aware of how out of place he looked among all these business people. It made him tense and a bit twitchy as if he was watching for an attack (subconsciously, he was).

He relaxed a bit when they got to the elevator and he allowed himself to take a more easygoing stance once the crowd was out of sight and out of mind and then turned a bit when the other man questioned him. He really couldn't keep quiet for very long, could he?

"Director Fury has officially assigned Agent Romanova and myself to the Avengers Initiative, seeing as we took part in the battle with Loki. 'Tash will join us in a few days, we'll be here to see things go through smoothly."

It was mostly the truth, that was the official statement that the Director had given him. Clint's real reasons for staying were more....complicated.

Tony nodded his head back and forth, not surprised that Clint went ahead and said Fury's reasonings as if they were from the man's own mouth, when he'd really been wanting to hear his personal opinion of it.

"Right." he said, "And how does he envision this going? Us all holding hands every night, singing Kumbaya, and bonding with each other as we do one anothers' hair and bake cookies? So, that when the time comes we will be so well bonded that we will kick alien ass with our display of friendship alone? What is this Salior Moon? Because if it is, I will go ahead and say this now, I do not want to see Hulk in a mini skirt."

He continued on, switching quickly into another tone, "I don't mind having you all here, but I do wonder on the real reasons for Fury to push for you Agents, team members or not, to stay in my home."

Clint's neutral expression broke as he tried to follow what in the world the other was rambling about (and quickly regretting it when the mental image of the Hulk came to mind). It was the closest to an actual emotion that he'd ever expressed around the other man, blinking rapidly, glad of the general change of topic direction (what in the world was Sailor Moon anyway? And dear god he hoped that there wouldn't be any such type of bonding).

"He's moved many agents off assignments for the time being while the Helicarrier is being repaired after I--after Loki gave it a good beating." Which was true, it'd been almost like a small vacation for some, and Clint was actually glad to be off it for the time being.

'Tasha had told him not to think about it, he was doing his best.

Tony was amused by the other's reaction and listened intently to him when he spoke again, not one to miss when a person slipped up on their words. Just from that little hesitation and use of 'I' he could gather that whatever this was wasn't strictly orders and Clint didn't want him thinking it wasn't. Perhaps, he was becoming a sanctuary for wayward agents...

"Understood." he replied, not needing to pry anymore than that, "Here's the floor."

The elevator pulled to a stop soon after he said that and he stepped out first, entering the living space, "If you'll follow me, I'll give you the grand tour, so to speak."

Stark's uncharacteristically short answer told Clint that he got caught in the half-lie and he mentally cursed himself (and called the other man a few choice words while he was on his mental rampage) but once again brought his expression back to a normal state. He was not going to let Stark talk circles around him, he would be more careful now.

"We should probably drop these off first." he answered indicating to what few possessions he had while taking a look around the living space. He was already planning exit strategies and the best ways to escape should he need to (old habits died hard, or not at all since he wasn't planning on curbing them).

"Oh, right, don't want you to strain yourself carrying all that. Maybe, afterwards we can get a drink." he said, leading him down a hallway, he pointed out random things as they went, "Your room is down this way. I already have everyones designated for them, for whenever they need to stay. They're all on this floor as well. Mine are up a little higher and below are training rooms."

They reached a door near the end that Tony punched a code on a small screen next to it before he turned the doorknob. He glanced around the room with a passive expression, then pushed the door open all the way and stepped in so he could allow Clint to pass.

"The views pretty nice from here," he commented, "Figured a birdie would enjoy the height."

Yeah....drink. He'd have to find a way to dodge out of that gracefully when the time came ( ... )

Tony walked around the room with his arms behind his back, gazing around it as well even though he wasn't very interested, he was more interested in Clint's reaction to it. Which was, at first, nothing much except a casual throw of his bag on to the very neat bedsheets. Tony stopped next to the bed to quirk his brow at that, but he could tell when the other headed up to the window that he had found what he figured would impress him most about the space.

He stepped up next to him and searched the scene of the city spread out before them, trying to see it with new eyes, "It is. I think mine's better, but your's isn't bad either." He gave him a sincere smile, noticing that Clint wasn't just saying that he was pleased with it, he actually was.

He turned around then, bringing a hand to his chin as if he were in deep thought, "The difficult part about this will be deciding on where to put all of your stuff. There's just too many options. Can the bow go against that empty wall, or that empty wall, or that empty wall, or that empty wall?

He turned back around and leaned against the glass wall behind him, arms folded over his middle as he watched with some amusement at Stark's performance. The guy was annoying, but still entertaining on some level. Though he could see why he irritated 'Tasha, he didn't see himself having too many problems with Stark (overlooking the drinking, anyway).

"I dunno, the anxiety of trying to decide might do me in." He deadpanned, smirking a little, the room would truly take all of maybe five minutes to get his stuff into place, he really didn't have all that much. He'd figure out what to do with all this room eventually. Or maybe not, it all depended on how long he planned on staying.

"Yeah, you don't much seem like the interior design type. Hell, I'm not either I just make the stuff and then don't really care where it goes, as long as I can see it." he stopped his own rambling with a wave of his hand and moved away from the window, "You can let the anxiety eat you up later, Feathers, or..." he paused, "just let JARVIS do it for you. Right, JARVIS?"

"Of course, sir, although I feel you did not program a very accurate interior decorating function, seeing as Ms. Potts usually likes to uphold that responsibility.."

"I would have faith in you with this." Tony turned around, "Oh, right." he held up his hands towards the ceiling, "JARVIS." then towards Clint, "Feathers. Feathers, JARVIS. JARVIS say hello to our new occupant of the tower."

JARVIS responded, "Clinton Barton. SHIELD agent, archer, part of the Avengers initiative. It's good to have you here, sir."Way to make a greeting creepy, JARVIS." he sighed, "JARVIS controls the house, if you need anything you just have to ask him. He also makes for a very annoying ( ... )

Ah yes, JARVIS. Clint had forgotten that detail about the house, that it talked. His training had taught him not to react to surprises with anything other than efficiency so he didn't do anything other than blink when the voice answered Stark's queries. He did recall the other man constantly talking to someone during the battle, someone who answered back in an accent that none of the rest of the team possessed. He watched the two bicker for a while, expression unchanging while he listened. The house talking was going to take some major getting use to.

He tuned out the conversation, it was really going nowhere fast, and went back to looking outside before he heard.

"Will you be needing any assistance with your room sir?"

He shifted back to the conversation at hand and shook his head, "No. I'll mess with everything later. Shouldn't take more than five minutes at the most."

He'd need to get a feel for the room before he'd decided where things would go for the easiest and quickest access.

Tony walked to the door, realizing that he wasn't ever going to be getting any awe inspired praise from Clint on the many wonders of Tony Stark and everything he touched, but he was beginning to know better than to expect that from his team mates.

"Yes, most definitely five at most." he commented, as he beckoned towards the hallway and eagerly made his exit, "Let's finish this tour then, shall we?" he called back, "I think we should see the rest of the living space. Plus, I could use a drink."
