...I did not know osmosis had a verb form. The following isn't really a story, but it is what it is.

Hope burns through reason and experience, enlivens weariness, and gives despair its name.

That is my favorite line, I think. I adore that hope is the harder thing to pass along and tend, but once it catches and burns, it burns that much more brightly.
