(no subject)
Jason picked me up at lik 4:35 and then we went and got Seve with Jordan Philips and Jordan Lutz (together they are Jordi...ok inside joke sorry...) and after that we headed off to get one of Jordan's friends names, Laurie I think. She was so nice! :) I liked her alot.
We got to the concert venue one hour before the doors opened and two hours before the show yet the line was already around the building. Luckly we found someone to cut in front of (Ryan, Jason's friend from church, whom we hung out with the whole time too). Finally got in and the place was packed.
Copeland=amazing! They were so good. Just the right mix of slow emo music, beautiful lyrics and some rock thrown in. I loved them.
The Jealous Sound were really good, I think their set was to long ...or maybe I was just super excited to see Switchfoot. Either way they were really good.
Switchfoot was ...I can't even describe. They didn't sound like they do on their cd, they sounded about 20 times better. WOW!!! It was probably the most intense worship time I've ever had. The songs and the lyrics have always been beautiful but seeing it live made me cry like 3 times cause it was so intense. I gave alot up to God tonight. I think things are going to be ok. :) I know things are going to be ok.
The only bad part of the night was that Copeland's cd cost $12 pshhh come on thats dumb but even worse was the fact that Switchfoot's t-shirts cost $18!!!!!! WHAT?!?! Well I'm no richie-poo so I said HECK NO and walked out. I wish I could've gotten one though.
Seve, Jason and I proceded to Sharis ate some then Jason dropped me off. It was such an awesome night! I hope you all had great nights too.
