Ummm...hi. Yes, I'm alive. Yes, I've kind of dropped off the face of the planet to anyone not in my immediate geographical vicinity. Yes, that's bad. Yes, I want to change that.
For the first time in a long time I actually feel like making an effort to get in touch with people I don't see regularly, because I can tell them that I'M NOT STILL WORKING AT THAT MIND-NUMBING JOB THAT WAS SUCKING MY SELF-WORTH. Well, technically I still am, but only until next Friday.
After that, I have a nifty new software job of much joy. I will be working closer to home, getting paid more, and doing something that actually interests me. Whee.
In the mean time, I have to run for my 45-min seventh-to-last commute into old job. Whee.
