I had some Canadian company all weekend and it was a blast. Beach, casino, chilling.
Well, Misquamicut yesterday and today was a lot of fun except I, as usual, left with a terrible sunburn on my back. I'm sure my plane ride on Thursday will be much better this way.
The plane ride is to California for the "nerd convention" known as Blizzcon. Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, Awesome. I'll be going with Tom, Dave, and Troy and I know we'll all have fun. Recently noticed that Ozzy Osbourne is the musical guest? Wow.
I don't entirely like planes but I don't have a phobia or anything. I just don't trust being so helpless in any situation. Well, I don't like the thought of vanishing before I've made my contributions to the world, so here's a list of sorts:
-For the majority of my childhood I dreamed of becoming an artist. Not a painter or a sculptor, just drawing generally. I don't remember when I stopped wanting to do that.
-I later set my sights on being a writer. I never finished writing anything I started but I enjoyed the creative process.
-My next decision was to become a Computer Programmer. I even began college with it in mind but I realized it wasn't really what I wanted and dropped out completely.
-Now my current objective is to be a Math Teacher. I can, at this point in time, see myself achieving this. Maybe I felt this way with the others, I can't really think.
Runner-ups and momentary dreams of a different future:
-Actor
-Comedian
-Drummer
-Guitarist
-Photographer
-Astronaut/Pilot of the real Millenium Falcon
And a few titles that I wouldn't categorize as occupational:
-World Traveler
-Husband and Father
-Inspiration
-Hero
-Good Person.
I hope to have the time to give the effort for many of these.
