Recently my xbox crapped out. Connection problems in the power cord plug in dealy. It sparks feircly if you try to turn it on. So untill i have have Bob take a look at it, its one big expensive paperweight.
The morning after i massacured the oversized moth i had a srange dream right before i woke up. I dreamed i was playing Halo with some friends. I had gotten bored of it and left it sitting at the start of a level and talked to the friend next to me. After while i heard sounds of discontent coming from the tv screen. As i looked there was a little orange armored nidgit dancing around in front of my player. "Why aren't you playing?" it asked in a childish screech of a voice. The level had changed from a lush forest to a large concrete pad surrounded by dark water. I picked up the controller and shot it. But it didn't die. I continued shooting it untill i was out of ammo. Ammused by this strange hapening in the game i was going to pause it so i could show my friend. As i reached for the start button i realized i was no longer holding a controller but instead in my hand was a large assault rifle like that i had in the videogame. I looked around and to my disbelief i was in the game. Surrounded by that same dark water, only the concrete pad was a great deal smaller. Flat and structureless i wondered what i was to do about this new predicament. The midget alien ran up and shot at me several times. Being hit by the last shot, pain splintered through my arm where i was hit. It was no longer a game, it had somehow become reality. The gun was still out of ammo but i pulled a new clip seemingly out of nowhere. Reloaded. Shot the little beast. It fell with a rather large hole in its head. No gore.
I crouched down to examine the body. I looked out to the water surrounding me. It had a very ominous feel to it now. I heard what i thought to be metal rattling behind me, briefly a second apart each time. It was spurs on a cowboy boot, i seen way too many Clint Eastwood and John Wayne movies. I looked up and saw a dark figure standing over me. Que the horror music. I couldn't make out any distinguising marks or features other then in fact he was wearing cowboy boots, spurs and all. Where he came from i had no idea. Uneasy with the closeness i backed off. He reached out to grab me. I leaped backward and fell off the edge of the concrete into the water. It wasn't deep at all. I thought it to be oceans but it was only 3 feet deep, in all directions. No more, no less. Stranger yet was the lingering idea that i saw Hunter Hurst Helmsley wailing away on a guitar behind off in the distance.
The dark figure walked forward and light struck it at a slight angle, he or it... looked like a zombie. More accuritly it looked like the mummy from Bubba Ho-Tep.
It jumped down into the water giving chase. Suddenly the music changed to that of an old school videogame boss fight. Shooting it did no good, bullets deflected off the bone and there were no vital organs to shoot. Just a rotten scab of flesh drapped over bone. It continued to move closer. I backpeddled as quickly as i could in the water but i might as well of been standing still for it wsn't fast enough. Demonically fast the creature walked through the water was quickly as any could on dry land. In desperation i lobbed my cache of Fragmentation grenades at him. 5 in total. The blast sent water high into the air. It just kept coming, shrugging off the blasts as if they were merely friendly jabs thrown by some cocky bastard.
The water seemed tp be draining, constantly getting lower. It was still hard to move though. The water revialed cracks in the ground like that in a dried up riverbed. I looked closer and the concrete pad seemed to of dissapeared before my very eyes. The sky had been black up to this moment. It was slowly clearing into a deep blue.
The creature pelted me across the face so hard it threw me to the ground. It was soft now, and sandy. A desert had mertialized seconds after the water dissapeared. I has struck several more times by the zombie. Its fists flet like large rocks beating on my face. My vision now blurred by blood. I could not stop its relentless attack. Infact i did not have even initiative to even try. Some time had passed before it stopped. The creature stood up and raised both arms in the air. As if reaching for the sky, doing so the sun grew brighter, almost blinding even though i was not looking in the direction of it. The pain sent my mind on a trip it could not come back from, thank you good bye so long, i was fading.
The creature began to mutate into a large beatle of some sort, an undescribible creature of spikes, fangs, drool and an exoskeleton to boot.
I felt some strength come back to my hand, not alot, just enough to grasp as the handle of the assault rifle. It didn't work before but maybe it might be vulnerable in this new form. Raising that gun to aim felt like trying to lift a tank. Pulling the trigger as the mighty beast crashed back down apon me, everything came to an abrupt blackness.
That is when i woke up and checked on the moth.
