Tell war stories, tell stories about the mission we just did. Talk about how much tommorow is gonna suck. we bond. These are the times when your becoming brothers, and getting to know your pals. You all smell, you all are sore, and tired, and hungry and cold. And anyone around that fire will scoot over, or loan you a pair of dry socks, or share an MRE, or even share a sleeping bag with you if you ask.

Thing is, there really is no typical day. They're all different. But if you earn your blue cord, i have no doubt you'll feel proud of it, and you'll eventually understand the bond that all infantrymen have."
