cats and bags
Well now that we've had our first "gathering" of the preliminary stages I suppose it's safe to let at least part of the cat out of the bag.
Today's meeting was mostly to sit down and jam, feel out where everyone is with their instruments. Until now I've pretty much been bound to music that's been written out for me on pages in a book, so it's pretty accurate when I say that I was a tool for most of the session. It was while I was sitting there, thinking about what a total loser I was for presuming that I could possibly handle something like this, that I finally got into it. The last song we worked on went on for a solid ten minutes or so.
I won't go into the composition of the band yet, for various reasons - one of them being that it's not necissarily a set number of us - but needless to say it ended up being a ton of fun.
