4th of July
It has been such a nice holiday weekend! Thursday I had a half a day so I got to come home earlier and hang with the fam. Friday week up with Matt and his fam, ate clam cakes and went to the beach. Tavi went into the ocean for the first time and LOVED IT! She is my fearless little water child! She could have stayed in there all day. Matts baby Ami is really cute, such a peanut compared to Tavi. They both were so chill and good the whole time. On the 4th I went to my parents house for a cookout and Jenn came by with her by Eric. We had some really yummy alcoholic root beer and everyone got to give Tavi tons of attention. She went in the pool with grandpa Byron and loves swimming around. I think I may need to give her lessons because she seems very ambitious to go go go! That night we stayed in because, baby. She slept through SO MANY FIREWORKS. The people across the street set some off right in front of our house and were not very good about it. Charles set his professional grade ones off after that and Danny and I got to watch from our front stairs! Today, Danny took the morning off of work so I got to sleep in, which neverrrr happens- until 8:30!!! Felt so good. If this was me 10yrs ago I would be like wtf 8:30 is NOT sleeping in. Times change kid. Tavi took a 2.5 hour nap late this morning and Danny and I got to have some alone time which was very very very nice ;) we went back to the pool in the afternoon and I bamed some chocolate chip cookies. I'm participating in a contest with my online mama friends which consists on completing a list of activities to do with our little ones. So far Tavi and I have baked cookies, baked more cookies for our neighbors, planted something, built a pillow fort, went to the beach, went in a pool, made an anagram with the letters of our names, made an illustrated cover to a book called "my billionaire baby and her alter egos"
It's been a lot of fun! I'm excited to do as many as possible and I'm glad to have it documented for her to see all the stuff we accomplish this summer!
