11 weeks
Here is Tavi earlier today squeezing her own cheeks cuz I mean, how could you not?! The past month has gone by so fast I don't know where to start.. I guess I'll just begin with how sweet Tavi is.. She loves to smile at me and Danny now and we even got her to laugh a little which is so exciting and rewarding! Now that she is becoming more aware of her surroundings I find it so fascinating when she does or doesn't like something. She still hates belly time but today she lifted her head up for close to a minute before freaking out so that's some progress! She is liking her swing and can see herself in the mirror while following the birdies. She loves lights! The light in her room is floral designed and I say "do you see the light? How many colors do you see? 5 colors, blue, green, brown, black and white" she loves to be moved ALL YHE TIME and sung to. Most recently she's been using her hands to self soothe. She will put her right hand up by her head during feedings. She is drinking 4-5oz now and I'm overproducing so we are doing great in that dept. she just had her vaccinations and Danny had to hold her because I was too nervous about the whole thing, but she did fine! Little fever and fuss for a few days but mostly slept it off. We went to the beach yesterday just to smell the air and hear the ocean, she enjoyed the wind. I go back to work in just under 2 weeks and I'm ready but also quite nervous about the transition. Being a mom is a lot of work and I give so much credit to all moms out there. Danny has been very supportive, even when we bicker at 3am, the next day we talk it out and remind each other how much we love one another. Tavi is 11 weeks today and sleeping like a sound baby in her room. She usually wakes 1-2 times usually around 330/4 and then again around 7. I can't complain because she is just too damn cute!
