[ something important. was that really how he rationalized- this? (well. yes. that was how he rationalized it.) this was something important that needed to be ran by Lelouch so he didn't receive an unpleasant surprise. Zero was important. so was knighthood talk. Euphemia and Schneizel were also important. ... so was, to a varying degree, Sayaka. and Mami. he wasn't really keen on being called the knight of someone who he... obviously never served. the only he did serve died, and- and, well, he was tired of it and if Lelouch caught wind of it by someone other than him?
... that wasn't something he wanted to see.
the day went by pleasant enough, and there really wasn't any reason for Suzaku to be in a bad mood. not really, anyway; as long as Nunnally didn't see him, he had no qualms popping into Lelouch's... office... for any sort of conversation that may or may not end in a peeved Emperor. no. no reason to be in a bad mood at all. so, he wasn't, wiping his expression of anything that could give him away to Lelouch before he even opens the kitchen door. when he does, it's quietly, quickly, without noise. because the Empress is sleeping and Suzaku really... wasn't nearly in a good enough mood to slap a smile on his face for her.
he shuffled his way around until he found the stairs, only halfway up them before he realized that he didn't know where Lelouch's office was. (he didn't know Lelouch had an office in the first place but, ah, whatever, he supposed.) disgruntled for a moment, Suzaku trudged up to the top and looked left and right before spotting a door and slowly stalking over to it.
'Suzaku' was a ghost and ghosts didn't need to knock. but, indulging that more human side of him he gave the open door three firm knocks which- might have been firmer than he planned, because the door opened more for him. huh. Lelouch would have to deal with it, his eyes dragging their gaze across the floor and to his Emperor with something of a slightly hardened expression. it was only natural; yet again, he was reminded that Lelouch lived and breathed just like everyone else. ]
