[He hissed under his breath. This was not the outcome he had hoped for, but while a tinge disappointed and anxious on account of his failure, he was not dumbstruck. It seemed many ‘creatures’ unique to Somarium were partly or completely resistant to his blade. Clearly, he had to train far more vigorously, for this was surely no fault of his sword - but for the time being, he shoved aside the thought, angling the katana defensively.]

NAKEWAMEKE! [It reaches up to its shoulders, pulls out a handful of playing cards and shuriken-throws them towards the samurai.]

Given how large it was and the slowness that came with bulk, its destructive intentions were somewhat more clearly telegraphed than that of a human opponent - so by the time it smashed its hand down and sent a rippling shockwave through earth and concrete, the samurai had already leapt off the ground, aware that he would have been near-paralyzed by the juddering shock the impact created or even thrown off his feet had he stood idle just an instant longer. Using its fist as something to spring off of, Goemon then shot up into the air and swung vigorously at its head (if it had much of any…) with fierce, stubborn resolve; for Amaterasu's sake - for his own sake - he had to try.]
