[It was needless to say that Eridan was a mess when he returned to the hive. Throwing the door open, kicking furniture, upturning the couches and flipping tables. He was angry, he was hurt, he was distraught. Why did things always, always have to turn out like this? He gets a small taste of happiness and then it gets ripped away, gets taken from him and he's left alone.]
[So fucking alone.]
[Alone and hurting.]
[He makes a mess of the place, making their hive take on the physical form of what he was emotionally. After his rampage of emotion and dismay, he just leans against one of the walls. Sliding down it and hiding his face in his arms.]
Kar... What the fuck you can't be... You can't be fuckin' gone...
It's not fuckin' fair...
[After a few moments, he collects himself--maybe not completely, but enough to slump up the stairs, which he notes how they never seemed so steep and long before making his ascension that much more difficult. Maybe it was the slack in his body, his emotions draining him. He didn't care the reason, because soon enough he's at his room, weakly pushing it open, locking it behind him and just collapsing on his bed.]
[He's shaking as he pulls his cape around him, curling up in it and just wanting to die right then and there. Wanting this pain to go away--wanting Kar to come back.]
[Despite how alone he had been feeling the past couple of weeks, this was what it truly felt like to be completely and utterly alone.]
