[Balthier notes that this young lady looks rather troubled as he passes. Being a new arrival himself, he can certainly relate. Being alone on top of finding yourself somewhere utterly foreign is, after all, undesirable.]
I'm not entirely sure, myself, though I've had it described to me as a waking dream of sorts.
[So she was right that it sounded familar. Perhaps this world was what the people here imagined to be the perfect world for everyone? But... if this was similar to that world, then how did she get here? and how does she get out?]
So.. we all share or watch this [pause] dream and people come in a lot? Does that mean we can leave too?
That's about the size of it, love. The first bit, anyway. [He sighs, gesturing broadly with one upturned hand.] From all I've heard so far, people can't go home at will.
An inn here in the village, I believe, and if you wander beyond it, there's just about every sort of establishment you could think of in the city of Somni.
