[When Seiji saw his casual shirts and slacks had been swapped for pantsuits, sweatervests, and dress shirts, the first thing he thought of was checking out the shopping district for a new wardrobe. No such luck. The stores carried the same fashions, and the merchandise and appliances had distinctly downgraded in technological efficiency.

Great.

He headed out of the last store he planned to visit for the day, hands stuffed in his pockets and eyes directed straight ahead. He saw a large shadow settle several yards away from the corner of his eye. Jerking to a start, he gripped the first pocket-sized weapon his fingers touched and pivoted towards the shadow, which turned out to be a man floating gracefully to the ground.]

What the hell? It looked like he flew down here.

[just going to turn towards him.]

[a pause. well, better start asking the questions. the boy didn't seem too dangerous, despite his posture.]

...Where am I?

[A slight start. Didn't think anyone was within earshot, more so the guy he was talking about. This guy doesn't look dangerous (yet), but his hand is still in his pocket clasped around a -- oh, guess it's a pair of surgical scissors.]
