Takeshi smiled and swept a sleeve across his brow as he set down the last mat, indicating home base. Standing astride it, he surveyed his work with a broad grin, bringing up a hand against his brow so he wouldn't have to squint against the sunlight.

The set-up wasn't bad, if a little armature. He'd fixed up a plot of grassy land in the shape of a baseball diamond by using four square pieces of burlap cloth to indicate the bases. For the pitcher's mound, he'd transported a bag of sand and dumped a little water on it, packing it in tightly by stepping on it. The field had a wilted quality to it, but it was the right shape and all. Haha... and even if it was little makeshift, that was all right! This was just for fun, after all.

On the ground, about six balls in various conditions of use lay snugged into the grass. He'd acquired three bats and two mitts, additionally. It wasn't much, but everyone could share! Just so long as everyone remembered to bring along a water bottle and a good attitude, today was gonna be a lot of fun.

Now all he had to do was wait for people to show up.

Whistling to himself a little, he got ready by stretching a bit, in the meantime.
