At this point Eridan was grinding his teeth in anger. He didn't care about Sollux's stupid question as to why he was following him, in fact he wasn't even going to touch on it, because it was none of his business why he was stalking him like a creep. It was for him to know and Sollux didn't need to find out.

"Well what the fuck did you expect me to do? We were fuckin' hopeless on that barren fuckin' rock! I mean, we all were just sittin' around like sittin' quackbeasts waitin' to fuckin' die, I mean, if I did ask her to go with me, it was probably because there wasn't much hope with anythin' else! Can you honestly blame me for wantin' to fuckin' liwe?! So tell me, peasant, since you're obwiously from a time further in the future than me, what the fuck happened? You say I blinded you, you are sayin' all this poppycock about me askin' Fef to come with me, what happened in between? What lead to you gettin' your stupid fuckin' nook blinded?" He was seething, thinking about all of this, thinking about the slander and insults Sollux had strung his way. He wanted to go over there and beat his stupid face in, but he wanted an answer first.

Oh? What was this? Eridan was actually owning up to some stuff for once. They never actually really talked about where he was from before on the time line. Then again it was Eridan, when did they ever really just talk? Sollux normally just made fun of the pathetic wriggler or it got to a point where they were just fighting. He couldn't of been too far from where Sollux was from though if what he was saying was hitting him like this.

"Oh I don't know. Maybe I was expecting you not to be out of your fucking sponge? I think I set my standards too high on that one though because you definitely lost your shit. But what is there to fucking know? Come on now, try using your think pan for once. It's not hard to guess that she said no."

That wasn't exactly what Eridan was wanting to hear, even he knew there was hardly any chance at all that she'd actually say yes to such a proposition--but even knowing that fact, he had to try. Had to hold on to whatever little bit of hope there was that he could do something right in her eyes, be something good, not be a burden, protect her, what have you. But it was clear that he had merely failed her expectation again. A fact that pretty much infuriated him.

"Why are you blind, you idiot? I mean, her sayin' no is part a the answer to what I was askin', but what exactly happened--what lead up to me supposedly blindin you?" Eridan was pretty sure it didn't play out with Fef saying no and then Eridan shooting Sollux in the eyes or something. That would be stupid and even with his impulsive decisions, he wouldn't do something that retarded.

"... Tell me Fef is alright." Eridan had a sinking feeling something might have happened, not necessarily he did anything, but if he and Sol fought, their duel before was pretty explosive and dangerous to even be in the vicinity of, so he was worried that whatever boarish thing he might do in the future wouldn't make things even more sour between him and the future empress.

"Of course I'm blind, you fuckpod. Why the fuck should I tell you that anyways?"

Even though Eridan was asking fairly nice for once or at least not being a complete ass about asking something, Sollux didn't really care to answer. It didn't seem like that important of a thing to talk about with Eridan anyways. So he was being an ass to him.

When Feferi was mentioned though, he lost whatever condescending look he may of gained before. Instead he was contemplative. He hadn't actually been conscious to know what happened to Feferi so he couldn't say for sure. His assumptions were of the worst variety though and when he was in the Dream Bubble, Jade had made the assumption concrete enough for him.

"I don't think she is. At least not in the way you'd call alright."

"I wasn't askin' if you were, idiot! But whatewer I don't ewen care anymore."

Eridan was wholeheartedly asking the nicest way he could muster towards such filth and this was the shit he got in reply, whatever it wasn't that important anyways. He was glad Sollux was blind, he was grateful for it and even if he wasn't fully convinced he had done it, he'd definitely be more than willing to take the credit for it now.

When he responded to his question about Fef, his chest tightens. So something had happened to her. He could feel worrying taking over his mind, his feelings. He wanted--no. He needed to know what happened to her, even a vague idea would suffice.

"What the hell does that mean? You don't think... Stop pouncebeast hoofin' around it and tell me right now, what happened to her?!"

Good for Sollux, because he wasn't interested in answering Eridan's questions. At least not the ones asking for what lead up to the fight. Even if this Eridan hadn't experienced it yet, it didn't seem too hard to imagine something up that was vaguely the same thing he experienced.

"I don't know. You knocked me out when you blinded me. I wouldn't be surprised if you killed her with that wand of yours though."

Eridan couldn't possibly glare any more than he already was. The fact that Sollux would even suggest such a thing. Was he an idiot? He had to be. To sit there and say he wouldn't be surprised if he killed her. Eridan would NEVER kill her, never in all his sweeps would he ever lay a hand on Feferi--EVER.

He was sure of it.

Right?

His doubting thoughts mixing with the anger that was already there, fueling it into a catastrophic rage that was blinding--probably a feeling that was similar to what he felt when he wielded that wand that day he had yet to experience. Digging his heels into the grass as he closed the distance between them, his fist drew back, teeth bared and brows furrowed. He didn't care if he wasn't suppose to fight anyone but Karkat, didn't care if this would piss off Karkat--Sollux had crossed a line!

Within the next moment, his fist crashed into the face of the once psionic, surely with enough force to knock the blind troll back. Maybe even sprawling onto the ground if nothing was present for the gemini to catch himself on.

Sollux didn't have time to react to Eridan's fist crashing into his face. He never saw it coming. He couldn't. He had heard him stepping closer but he didn't know what to think about it.

"Fuck!"

Needless to say the punch was enough to throw him off balance, in an attempt to keep himself from falling though he reached out to grab the closest thing to him-- Eridan's scarf. He grabbed tight and pulled, but even that was not enough to stop his descent to the ground. The punch had too much momentum.

Sollux's face had scrunched up in a mixture of pain and anger, if he was going down then so help him god Eridan was going down with him. The sea troll may be his kaykay's kismesis, but Sollux wasn't going to just allow himself to get beat up. It was Eridan who started this after all.

Eridan had smirked at the exclamation from the blind gemini, pretty pleased with his work, when a frantic hand grasped his scraf. Initially, he was disgusted at the idea of Sollux touching his scarf! But that was soon forgotten when he felt the fabric tighten from the pull, turning the once scarf into a blue striped noose--the fabric tightening around his throat and causing him to gag. He tried to remain standing, but it was hard when the weight of a troll was pulling at his neck and choking him at the same time.

So, naturally, Eridan meets with the ground--lucky not falling on Sollux, but he was close enough. First thing he did after recovering from the fall was attempt to loosen the scarf that was currently choking him, because hey, he liked to breath after all. He wasn't too concerned with Sollux right now, just worried about the tightness of that scarf.

Despite the pain from making contact with the ground Sollux wasn't done yet. He wouldn't even call grabbing Eridan's scarf a retaliation really. It was just good luck on his part that he happened to blindly grab hold of it and pull him down too.

He was still holding on to the scarf and pulling the scarf- using it in fact to swing himself over the Aquarius to better send him a punch right back. It was a useful guide for the blind troll, for the scarf was wrapped around Eridan's neck and above that would be his ugly ass face. Where exactly his punch would hit he wouldn't know, but it was going to be his face and that was good enough for him.

"Can you just leave me the fuck alone for once?!"

His punch connected square between Eridan's eyes. Sollux wasn't the strongest physically sure, but a punch to the face would hurt regardless. It was enough to snap those stupid glasses of his anyways and knock them off of his face.

Eridan hadn't be able to react fast enough, before he knew what was happening, Sollux was on top of him and soon a fist was meeting his snout in a very unpleasant way--but that wasn't the worst of it, that snap definitely meant his glasses just bit the fucking dust and now Eridan was about as blind as the Gemini. He hisses in pain, hands cupping his poor face at the assaulted spot. He was about to try and retaliate, when he heard a familiar voice.

Shit...

He knew Karkat was going to take this the wrong way! And with how he was trying to pull Sollux off him and that tone of voice, yeah... He definitely thought this was something it wasn't--that last bit confirming it. He was at a lost for words at the moment, cuz well fuck, what could he say at a moment like this?

Fuck.

Sollux let himself get pulled back by Karkat and pull himself up off of the Aquarius. He had no intentions of continuing this fight any longer. He hadn't wanted to fight in the first place. That didn't make him any less upset at this situation though. Fuck he had just got done telling Karkat he didn't care about him and Eridan, he didn't need this misunderstanding. Just he wasn't going to take a punch laying down.

"I don't hate him like that! I wouldn't be telling him to leave me alone if I did. He's the asswipe who punched me first!"

That aimed kick? Yeah it definitely connected, causing the sea troll to crumple a bit, holding the assaulted side, teeth gritting from the pain of it. He looked to Karkat--or the blur he figured that was Karkat, his brows furrowed. It had slightly knocked the breath out of him, so after regaining it a few moments later, he spoke.

"Look, he really fuckin' pissed me off okay--but it wasn't ewen like that, okay? It was purely platonic! I'm well aware a who my fuckin' kismesis is, Kar! This wasn't some fuckin' adwance in anyway, so stop actin' like I just fuckin' cheated on you--cuz I fuckin' didn't!"
