The Lake is the exclusive territory of Gokudera Hayato. This may not be made clear on any map of Somarium or even a sign anywhere in the vicinity that says KEEP OUT, but everyone who's been around in the past month was giving a warning to stay the hell away.

And by warning, well, it was more of a threat, and the few people who thought it was funny to mess with him or joke about his clear message to steer clear, well they saw a nasty side of Gokudera Hayato that the 10th normally wouldn't.

But Gokudera hears the splash and he's coming on over, smoke flaring out of his nose as he fumed angrily around his cigarette, ready to annihilate whatever asshole decided to press him today and ignore his warning. He was not in the mood to play after spending a whole week in a damn sleep coma.

"What the hell are you--" he begins with a bark, then Gokudera blinks, the smoke of his cigarette clearing and there...there...

His cigarette fell to the ground and so did Gokudera, on his knees, eyes still wide as saucers, sure he must be hallucinating. Why he was so quick to believe the loch ness monsters exist in Lake Meridian but not that Tsuna has arrived in Somarium is anyone's guess.

"Tenth..."

Tsuna was just about ready to fall on his knees and beg for mercy from whoever was storming at him when his Hyper Intuition kicked in and he recognized the voice. Sure enough it was Gokudera.

Smiling happily that he had found a familiar face he hurries over to the seemingly shell-shocked Gokudera.

"Gokudera-kun? Are you alright? You look like you've seen a ghost!" Tsuna asks worriedly, putting his hands on Gokudera's shoulders. He had been ready to ask what was going on, but making sure his friend was alright came first. Then they could figure out together what twisted joke Reborn was playing on them this time.

Holy Hell! The tenth was real, like really here.

Gokudera gaped up at him long enough to be embarrassing, then flushed because he'd almost forgotten how nice and compassionate the 10th was and he wasn't used to people being nice to him - not that he gave them much reason to be. Well, Yamamoto tried, but Yamamoto was also an idiot. It was his stupid default and it just pissed Gokudera off more. But the 10th was a good man and Gokudera was so unworthy of such kindness!

No, no, no these aren't almost-tears in his eyes. Gokudera Hayato is no crybaby. He's the right arm - and now he really is again, not just in theory. He scrambled quickly to his feet and beamed for the first time in weeks, that cheesy grin he reserves only for the 10th.

"Tenth!" he exclaimed. "Are you all right? You're all wet!"

As Gokudera recovered Tsuna breathed a sigh of relief. Perhaps the other had just been surprised to see him? That seemed most logical of all possible options.

As Gokudera jumps up and grins at him, Tsuna returns the smile with one of his own. No matter what came at them now, everything would be alright. He just knew it. He chuckles some at Gokudera's question and nods his head.

"Mmhmm. I'm fine. I'm not sure when I arrived...where ever we are, but I woke up when I fell in the lake. Eh, Gokudera-kun, do you know what's going on? Is this one of Reborn's training missions?" Tsuna inquires looking a little sheepish. He really hoped not. Things had just gotten quiet after defeating Byakuran! surely he deserved a little break from training.

"Reborn-san?" Gokudera replied, blinking again in serious confusion. He rubbed at the back of his neck as he considered, then grinned and laughed awkwardly.

"I haven't seen him! But don't worry, 10th! Everything is going to be OK. I know where we are and I have a room in the hotel." He neglected to mention that Yamamoto was staying there too, because A) he was not proud of the fact that he hadn't decided to kick him out yet and B) Gokudera was thinking that the 10th's sudden arrival was the perfect excuse to make that idiot move out and find his own place! He was too noisy and there were two beds now. Yamamoto would just have to scram and give up his bed to the 10th, because if anyone should be there with him, it was his right hand!

Tsuna breathed a sigh of relief that Reborn wasn't behind this latest strangeness in his life. Though that left the very worrying question of just what was going on. Despite Gokudera's reassurance that everything was going to be fine, Tsuna couldn't help but worry.

"A...hotel? Gokudera-kun why are you in a hotel instead of, someplace more permanent? Just where are we?" Tsuna asked clearly worried and confused. He would probably calm down once he had a better grasp of what was going on. But for now he was still trying to get used to waking up in some unknown place.

As the gentle breeze blows across the lake, Tsuna shivers in his wet clothes and sneezes. "Eh, Gokudera-kun... do you have any dry clothes I could change into?" Tsuna inquires blushing slightly. It was a tad embarrassing to have to ask for clothes form Gokudera, but he figured it would be better than catching a cold. Which would cause unwanted worry in the Storm Guardian.

Too late!

As soon as Tsuna sneezed, Gokudera started fretting like it was a sure sign he'd come down with pneumonia - and it would all be his fault!

The 10th had just arrived and he had already failed him.

"I'm sorry, 10th!" Gokudera choked, his pale face turning shades of red - filled with shame.

"Come on," he said urgently, pressing the tenth's arm and leading him away from the lake. Couldn't take any chances - he needed to get dry and warm. If anything happened to the 10th, it would be unforgivable!

"E-Eh?" Was Tsuna's intelligent response to Gokudera's apology. He wasn't sure what it was for, since he didn't think Gokudera had done anything to warrent needing forgiveness. As he is lead away from the lake towards, what he assumed was the hotel, Tsuna presses Gokudera for information.

"Gokudera-kun, what are you sorry for? You haven't done anything wrong!" Tsuna tries to reassure his storm guardian. He was actually colder now that they were moving since the air seemed to go right through him. But he knew better than to mention that to Gokudera.

"Your safety is the most important thing, 10th! I was an idiot for making you stand around and now you're going to get sick and I can't fail you on your first day back!" Somehow Gokudera manages to keep on walking while simultaneously hanging his head in blushing shame.

At least he makes this trip between the hotel and the lake a lot so Gokudera can pretty much find his way blind, which he half-does as he leads the 10th along, intending to take the elevator up since it was faster and he couldn't take any chances til Tsuna was dry and warm.

"Tenth, you can take my bed. And I'll wash the sheets immediately!"

[ooc: yus, keep tagging here. Got the OK from Yams - he'll be meeting us at the hotel room, probably in the post after yours if you want. I just gotta ping and BAM]

Tsuna didn't bother to respond until they got to the hotel and were in the elevator. "Gokudera-kun that's not true. I was the idiot who fell in the lake in the first place. Besides you've already got a place to live and are on top of things! You are not an idiot Gokudera-kun!" Tsuna protets as they ride the elevator up and head to Gokudera's room.

When they entered the room Tsuna blinked at Gokudera. "Eh? Bed? Gokudera-kun I'm not sick. Not yet. Just wet and a little cold. All I really need is dry clothes." Tsuna points out blushing some. Honestly it wasn't like he was dying or anything! He had just taken a little tumble into the lake, that was all.

((ooc: -lmao- you took care of everything! as expected of a gokudera mun! <3<3<3 you have my thanks! ))

Takeshi was already back from work by the time the two arrived. As usual, he'd carted home some leftover rice and fish, and was in the middle of crafting it into the kind of dinner Gokudera would definitely eat and definitely complain about anyway, haha. He'd more or less moved into the same room, once they'd gotten two mattresses in; so to Tsuna, the place might look a little cramped.

...Haha, wait a sec. Tsuna?

Takeshi blinked, his hands pausing against the ball of rice between them, as the familiar voice tried to argue its way out of Gokudera's usual over-reaction. It was so familiar that Takeshi was smiling before he could even tell himself he needed to.

Leaning back, so that his head popped out from behind the little kitchenette unit, he gave a cheerful (if slightly too normal), "Yo, Tsuna! Hayato! Dinner's almost done-- haha, Tsuna, you look kinda wet! Were you looking for the lake monster again, Hayato?"

There were a string of curses just waiting to be thrown at Yamamoto's face from that greeting:

STOP CALLING ME THAT, ASSHOLE!

And:

DON'T TALK TO THE 10TH SO INFORMALLY, IDIOT!

And:

MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!

But even as the nasty scowl started to form, Gokudera remembered the 10th was here and tried very hard not to snap at Yamamoto in front of him. But the glare he shot over Tsuna's shoulder, he felt adequately expressed his ire and loathing.

To be continued, you bastard! The 10th's health came first, so Gokudera went over to his dresser and quickly removed a fresh shirt and a pair of pants, opened another drawer and snatched a pair of socks, but... he didn't have an extra belt.

He would give the 10th his own! So Gokudera unbuckled it and added the belt to his folded pile and presented it in offering.

"You should change first, 10th!"

Tsuna was mostly obviously to Gokudera's attitude to Yamamoto, just happy to have met another friend here. As Gokudera went to get him clothes Tsuna greeted his other best friend.

"Ah! Yamamoto! I had no idea you where here too! It's wonderful to see you! Actually, when I arrived I kinda fell into the lake, which is when I realized I had no idea where I was. I'm so glad this isn't one of Reborn's crazy training missions!" He gushes laughing, he didn't bother to ask why Gokudera hadn't mentioned that Yamamoto was living with him. He had a feeling he didn't want to know the answer.

"Thank you Gokudera-kun. I'll be right back." He says accepting the clothes from Gokudera and heading into the bathroom to change. He had noticed that the Hotel room was small and with three of them there it seemed even smaller. As he changes he thinks of a way to bring up housing. Ideally they could all live together. He wanted to have his friends close in this strange new world. But he also didn't want to be a burden on them and force them to move.

As he finishes up changing and hanging his wet clothes up to dry in the shower, he decides on a subtle way to ask about housing options. Figuring he had left Gokudera-kun and Yamamoto alone long enough he exits the bathroom and smiles at them. "Thank you for the clothes Gokudera-kun. They're a little big but at least I'm dry."

Yamamoto happily ignores any and all promises of cursing and pain in Gokudera's eyes as he continues to grin at the pair of them. The only thing about his expression that changes (as Hayato musters up a new, dry outfit for Tsuna) is the level of curiosity. As if they were magnetically attracted, his brows draw together slowly as Gokudera shoves his own belt and some overgrown clothes at their mutual friend, and sends him packing to the bathroom.

Takeshi blinks... then laughs a little bit.

"Ah-- so Tsuna just got here? Saa..." And he gives Gokudera a look that may or may not say 'I told you so.' (Hint: It does.)

Going over to Hayato now, he gives him a cheerful nod and states, "We're gonna need a bigger place, huh? But, ah, we can talk about that after dinner."

He strategically waits for Tsuna to come back out before also mentioning (least Gokudera get offended by the offer on Tsuna's behalf), "Hey! I saved up a little money from my job, so ah, why don't we all go shopping for new clothes tomorrow? It's starting to get real warm out and it's not like any of us have a lot, right? Haha, it'd be fun for the three of us to go! What do you say, Tsuna?" Knowing that Tsuna probably spoke for Gokudera too, in this case.

Gokudera was just about to let some of those bottled up curses fly - but then the 10th was back and Gokudera's reserved-for-the-10th smile was once more in place. He was genuinely relieved that Tsuna wouldn't catch pneumonia from wearing lake water-soaked clothes around, thanks to Gokudera's timely intervention. The clothes might not be a perfect fit, but they would do for the night. As for the loss of the belt, it was no loss at all! It was an honor to give up anything and everything he could to help the Tenth.

He did shoot Yamamoto another glare at his suggestion - was he trying to show him up? Loaning the Tenth his clothes was nothing compared to buying him new ones. That idiot! Gokudera would not be outdone. Gokudera wasn't going to let Yamamoto buy him clothes -- but, damnit, what if the Tenth actually accepted the offer? He probably wouldn't. The Tenth was modest and generous - he would probably be embarrassed to impose.

Ah! But if he said yes, then Gokudera would have to throw in his entire allowance so Yamamoto wouldn't get the upper hand in the end. Absolutely, he would do it!

"Please take my savings too, Tenth!" Gokudera declared.

Tsuna was rather taken aback by the offers of clothes and instantly became flustered at his best friend's well wishes. Despite having been friends with them for months, he still couldn't quite get over the way they wanted to do nice things for him.

"Ah, Yamamoto, Gokudera-kun. Thank you. I don't want to spend your hard-earned money. B-But...I...I could really use some more clothes." He blushes, feeling awkward about accepting charity. Walking over to the table carefully (the pants hung past his feet so he had to pull the legs up) He gets an idea.

"I'll get a job and when I have the money, I'll pay you both back!" He announces. It was not a question, or a suggestion. Tsuna was determined to pay back his friends for their kindness. He was making a statement of fact that rather dared them to argue. If he was going to have to accept charity from his friends, the least he could do was make sure he payed them back for it when he could.

He opens his mouth to make his tactfully planned mention of moving, when his stomach speaks first. Letting out a growl that everyone could hear. His face turns a bright red color and he mumbles "S-Sorry, ah... Is dinner ready Yamamoto? It smells good in here."
