The King did not like the ran. Not one bit. He was looking for a place to take shelter, but woe was He, for a lot of the buildings seemed unsafe and crumbly-looking. Had there been an Earthquake?
"We didn't notice," The King said to himself, hugging his body to keep warm.
But as if by a stroke of luck and destiny, he came across a quaint building, with a door just barely high enough for him to duck under. Normally, he would've just not entered at all, but this was a bad situation. The King did not like catching colds!
"Hello-Hello? Is anyone home?" The King knocked on the door, patiently awaiting an answer.
"Ooh, tea!" The King exclaimed, making his way into the cafe, "We do love tea!"
The cafe didn't exactly have the highest roof, but it wasn't uncomfortable or anything. His head just barely scraped the ceiling. He helped himself to a couple of towels and a blanket.
Tamaki stared up at the small distance between the King's head and the ceiling. He hoped he wouldn't bang his head against it and create a hole get hurt.
"Then I shall return with some tea for you, shortly!" Tamaki said cheerfully before whisking away to the kitchen.
"Wow-wee, such great service," The King said, mostly talking to himself. He seated himself in an open corner, not wanting to bump into any tables or chairs and snuggled up in his blanket. Suddenly, he remembered something and called out to his gracious host.
Tamaki caught the message and turned around to call out, "Two sugars? All right!"
It didn't take him too long really, and he was soon back with the tray set. There was the problem of whether or not the cups were large enough so Tamaki improvised by using the large bowl mugs that he had found as opposed to the more dainty tea cups.
"I hope this will suit your tastes," he said as he laid it out before the very large King.
"We hope so, too," replied the King. "But We're pretty sure this tea will be delicious."
He took a whiff of the tea and took the mug into his hands, letting the warmth spread across his palms and fingers. They were the perfect size for him. Sticking his pinkie finger out, he took a sip and sighed contently.
"Thank you for your hospitality. We were pretty sure that this place wouldn't be this nice, judging by the outside... but boy, were We wrong. This is a charming place. Perfect for rainy days."
Tamaki couldn't help but feel a sense of pride swell through him as he gave the King a broad smile.
"I am glad you feel that way. I had hoped that this would help alleviate some of the stress that this storm and earthquake had brought everyone else, and that it would offer a safe haven for until everything has passed."
He then looked up at the King. "May I ask where you are from?"
"Ooh, France! We quite love France. Very tasty food there."
Whenever it came to the subject of food or sweets, The King was the regular ol' chatterbox. He could dream of it and talk about it all day if he really wanted to... or if he had nothing else better to do.
"And we also visit Japan a lot," he added. "It seems our very first fanbase was rolled up there."

"Please...make yourself at home! There are some towels and blankets you may use. Would you care for some tea?"
Tamaki still could not help but stare at little at the large man. He was...certainly unique.

There was a tingle of homesickness in the king's big heart, but he held back his feelings and took another sip of the tea to calm himself.
"Out of courtesy, We would've asked you the same... but We think We already know the answer."
Reply
"Ah...well I shall answer regardless," the blond said. "I'm from Earth, Japan to be precise, but I was born in France."
