Stretching his small arms and legs, Kirby woke up on top of one of the trees in Espoir. Not knowing - and probably not caring - about the fact that he had been sleeping for a week, he just found it weird that he was somewhat wet, making him wonder why. Did it rain while he was sleeping? And if it did, why didn't that wake him up?
Although, that thought soon disappeared when Kirby saw a card lying at the bottom of the tree. He floated down to the ground and, upon reaching it he picked up the card with immense curiosity. When facing it though he was greeted by the ominous eye of Zero staring back at him, through the card, and that made Kirby give a step back. He was about to pull his Dreamberry and call everyone to ask about that card, because maybe Zero could be around. But, he noticed something that wasn't on the device before: a small slot, big enough for the card to fit in.
With his usual innocence and naivety, Kirby slipped the card into the slot and the first thing he saw in the feed that started was Zero's menacing gaze, what made the little puff ball rather uncomfortable. Then, the image expanded and then he could see himself, flying through the skies, star rod in hand, as he shoot beams at Zero and his enemy striked back with his own bolts of energy. The whole scene was dark and unsettling. Not only because Zero is the embodiment of sadness and anger - the two main things that Kirby can't tolerate - but also because it felt like he was reviving that scene all over again.
The cold wind blowing, his heart beating faster as the whole destiny of Dream Land is lying on his tiny hands, that threatening stare looking down on him...
Getting quite scared, he suddenly let out a cry of desperation and threw the Dreamberry away from him, rather strongly.
And the gadget happens to land on the back of someone's head, but Kirby is too busy hiding his face against the ground to actually notice that.
