[Hungary at the same time, had been preparing her gift for Austria and when she hears the knock at the door, she places her finishing touches on the nicely wrapped present. Nestled inside the box is a pair of silver cufflinks, a new baton case and of course a picture that someone had snapped of the two in an elegant picture frame. After tying the bow with a flourish, she picks up the present and makes her way to the door before placing a kiss on her husband's cheek.]

Happy Valentine's Day, Roderich.

[So. He's still pretty awkward about the whole physical displays of affection thing even after this long. He's better than he used to be, certainly, but he's still way more comfortable with buying things, baking things, or playing music to show his feelings. He's too set into his aloof, aristocratic habits to change them now. That said, he hands Hungary her flowers and the jewelry (a simple but pretty silver+diamond charm on a silver chain; anything too decorative wouldn't suit Hungary, in his opinion. Not in a bad way, of course, but she wasn't really one for fancy, girly jewelry and all that, and he knew it) and gently places a kiss on her forehead. Because that's how he rolls.]

Likewise, Hungary. I, ah... was not entirely certain what to get you, so hopefully this will suffice.

No matter what present you get me, I'll always think it's perfect. [She hands him her own present before taking the one from him in her hands.]

May I open it now?

[Well, thank you for that present, waifu. He appreciates it very much, even without knowing what it is yet. She usually picked out pretty good gifts for him, after all.]

Of course. May I open mine, as well?

Of course. [Hungary cradles the flowers in one arm while she goes to open the present she receieved in the other. It isn't too difficult and when she finally does get the box open she gasps at the neckalce. Nothing to gaudy - simple and beautiful just the way she likes her jewelry. Standing up slightly on her toes, she kisses Austria on the cheek again.]

It's beautiful! Thank you, I love it. I'll put it on before we go for dinner.

[And yep, face is red again. He's going to TRY to ignore that and open his own gift. He likes it very much, Hungary. See, he even somewhat smiled there. He'll put on those cuff links before they leave at some point, too.]

Thank you, as well. Where did you wish to go for dinner, by the way? I, ah... was not entirely sure.

Anywhere is perfectly fine with me as long as it is with you.

Oh! And how is the opera house coming along? I was hoping that perhaps we could go there after dinner if it was all fixed up and ready.

Well, what sort of food would you most like to eat? [and you brought up the opera house. Oh there is so much he hasn't told you yet, waifu, just wait.]

The opera house is not quite finished yet; it's getting there, but there is still a lot of work to be done. Have I told you yet, though? Mozart offered to write us a new opera!

Hmmm...something from home perhaps?

Really? [Her eyes light up.] That's wonderful! Has he told you yet what it is going to be about?

He said it was about a man arriving in a new world, I believe, because he wanted the majority of Somarium to be able to relate to it. Aside from that, though, I have no other details. He wanted it to be a surprise when premiered, so obviously I can't refuse him that.

By home, whose food do you mean?
