NOTES: Ciel is going to wander the village looking for his Fiancee. Feel free to bump into him, ask him what he's doing, etc.
Ciel had been sick. Very sick - fever, chills, and a desire to do nothing but lie in his bed and wait for everything to go away. Ironic, considering he had gotten himself in such a position from wanting the very opposite; being quite literally afraid of his bed, his dreams, and who might see them. Now, his body finally seemed to have repaired itself, and for the first time in a week, he was lucid again. Dressed, ready to face the world again, he found that his first thoughts once he had emerged from his room and gone to sit in the drawing room, were of Lizzie.
Now that he thoguht about it... he hadn't seen her in quite some time. Looking back, his memories of the week were fogged over, but not one did he remember the feeling of Elizabeth being near-by. It surprised him. She had such a habit of worrying and fussing, why would she not have gone to see him. Not that he minded, the silence was welcome... but the unusual nature fo the situation had him thinking. Last they'd spoken, he'd been very short with her. Just get out of my sight, Elizabeth, he remembered vaguely grumbling at her.
So, rather than stopping at the drawing room, he continued walking. He looked, and listened for her, looking in every room. No matter where he looked, there was no Lizzie. His mouth pulled down into a frown. This wasn't the least bit funny. If she was playing some game of hide and seek--
Or had she gone outside? He went to the nearest window, looked out to the lawns. No sight of her.
Ciel's pace quickened down the hall. Could she have left? No, she wouldn't have, that wouldn't have been like her. But then, he had been harsh with her. Sebastian hadn't said anything about her--
He was headed down the stairs now, hand gripping the banister. "Lizzie?" he tried, for the first time in his search, but there came no answer.
There was no other option. She'd left the house. Damnit. He searched for his coat, his cane, ready to go out and look for her. What coudl she be thinking, leaving the house without anyone? What if something came after her, what if she got caught up in something dangerous? Ciel didn't even realize that he was being particularly over-concerned with his Fiancee's whereabouts.
Moments later, he was opening the front door, stepping out into the winter chill.
