(Until_the_boy_starts_singing. He has not heard such an ear-splitting cacophany since Hughes' child cried at her father's funeral. He loses his temper, his visible eye widening in immitigable rage and tears off down the ice, not bothering to use his Ultimate Eye to check for imperceptible cracks in the surface. He stops right in front of the singing boy and draws his sword, prepared and eager to cleave him in two.)

so he did what any normal person would do:
yell and frantically move out of the way. or in this case, dive to the side since he could really...skate back in his current position]

Wha-!?!?! Sir, p-put the sword down!! We can talk this out like gentlemen!!! [not that he's. really sure if he can BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT. if worse comes to worse, he'll just book it because surely he should be able to skate faster than a man walking on the ice?
but how did he...get this far...without skates.......]

(He cannot read the screecher's thoughts, but can clearly read the emotions emanating from him, since the offending party makes no attempt of disguising them. Fear of Wrath's sword--he is possibly looking for an escape route--incredulity at something.)
(Wrath's rage weakens, becomes anger, maskable anger.) No need to be scared, son. I was only joking with you. (Wrath sheathes his sword, chuckling good-naturedly at his almost-victim. His certain victim if the young man starts singing again.)

That's...quite the sense of humor you have...

At my age, it's necessary to have a little levity in one's life. (He gestures with his hand at the young man.) Just like you.

I suppose everyone has their own way, ah hahaha. [and a clearing of the throat] But how are you this fine day, sir?
Reply
Why, I'm doing quite fine. If not somewhat hungry--I have not eaten at all since I've come here. (Wrath dismisses the importance by gesturing with his hand.) Oh, look at me. Foolish old man who cannot stop groaning about his problems. (He looks at the the boy's skates.) What is the point of going out on the ice? Will you not fall in?
(Wrath has a mind to cut the ice underneath the blonde boy.)

But if you're hungry, I could suggest some fine eating establishments nearby.
[so blissfully unaware of Wrath's hidden intentions~]

(SLASH.)
(In the space of a split-second, Wrath has coldly drawn his sword and has gouged it into the ice in a circle around the blonde boy. Grinding of metal on ice fills the air sharply as he forms the circle. As he is an accomplished swordsman, he is aware precisely how far to cut so that he does not overreach and submerge the blade into the water.)
