[As the evening dawned upon Somarium, Boris noticed an interesting little addition to their surroundings. So naturally, he went to report this to his favorite person in the whole wide (current) world.

The pink door shows up at Chii's

[Because of the new sudden change in temperature, Chii had been spending most of today putting away her winter clothes and recollecting all of her spring/summer time wear. Chii was now dressed in one of her cool summer dresses when the familiar pink door appeared.

Happily, she quickly opens the door.]

Boris!

Preeecisely!

[He waves as the door opens before scooping her up into a hug.]

Hiya, Chii. Weather changed pretty fast, huh?

[She giggles and nuzzles her head against him]

Yes, it did. Chii has never seen the weather change this fast before.

Me neither! And it definitely doesn't look like July to me, but... well, what can you do? I always like summer anyway.

But there's actually another change that I wanted to show you!

[Pulling back and just taking her hand in his now as he starts to lead her out the apartment door.]

[She gladly holds his hand but stares back at him curiously]

Another change? What does Boris mean by that?

I mean something that was not there before, but it's not as big as a change of scenery but not so small as a change of clothes.

Just follow me, Chii!

[And without missing a beat, another pink door shows up and he opens it, pulling her through- and then they're magically at the lake.]

Okay!

[Once at the lake, Chii looks around expectantly.] What should Chii be looking for?

[He drapes an arm around her shoulder and gestures around with his free hand.]

Tiiiiiiny little floating lights.

[And one by one, they start to show up. Meanwhile, Boris is inwardly applauding his amazing timing.]

[When Chii finally notices the fireflies floating around them she looks around in amazement. She's never seen anything like this before and can't even bring herself to ask what they are just yet. With curiosity she tries to follow a few of them at a time with her eyes.]

[He'll just be laughing and glancing between her and the fireflies.

... but when some of them get a bit too close, he'll be making attempts to catch them. With his mouth.]

[Chii starts giggling herself when she sees Boris's attempts]

Are they something you can eat?

[Pausing mid-bite.]

Not... quite. Eheh, don't try it, Chii.

Chii should not eat them?

Nope. It's just fun to try sometimes.

Oh. Is that why Boris is trying to eat them?
