Despite how late it was Hermione had plenty of food to feed two ravenous Weasley boys. Once she had invited them over for food she'd gotten to work, bustling about the kitchen to prepare two large plates for the twins. Seeing George had been great but it was Fred that had thrown her off, much like he probably had done the same to everyone else. She thought that she'd be prepared to see people who'd died when she learned that time really didn't matter but it was different in practice - not to mention that it was Fred. The younger Weasley children had been like an extended family to both her and Harry. Which was part of the reason why every now and then she had to stop what she was doing to wipe away tears that threatened to fall.
Like all of the other buildings around here their cottage was made out of gingerbread and over-sized candy pieces but a little bit of magic had certain cooking items transfigured back to normal so her food wasn't loaded with flavors she didn't want. Dinner consisted of roast lamb, gravy, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes and rolls all of which she spread across the table to wait for the twins.
