It would be impossible for the Goddess to sit aside after seeing that video, so she brought it upon herself to look into it. She wasn't aware of things like the 'Police' however the thought of the possibility of guards is what has her moving along, hopefully not spotted. The usual domestic, friendly demeanor was gone as of now, the wolf keeping her defense up as she moved. Her head kept lowered, paws moving swiftly and yet quietly. Green exorcism beads circling restlessly around her, painted black eyes blinking once until she caught a familiar scent.

It was then she spotted the source right after. Her head raised, ears perked forward as she stopped for a moment before making her way over to the Medicine Seller. Had he been curious of the crime? Amaterasu had suspected it wasn't one of the demons or any dark creature like back at home, but if she could catch the scent of the one who had done the deed- then just maybe she'll be able to keep a close eye on them. Just the thought of having killed a young girl is enough to have a anger surging inside her. She makes no noise, but she's aware he may already know of her company.

The Medicine Seller held no remorse for the fallen girl, or so it would seem with his forever placid features. What mattered to him was finding out if this had been the work of a Mononoke or not, or if something similar would spawn from said murder. It was always possible and he knew it could happen even in this world. So long as there were humans, there were mononoke. Life had been almost unbearably dull these past few months he had been stuck in the dream world. But he had to be here for some reason, right?

He stopped when the goddess came closer, the jingling of the various items in the box upon his back ceasing as he stilled in the snow. He looked akin to a statue, unblinking as he waited for the wolf to reach him. How interesting that she should choose to join him in such an endeavor. It was obvious their reasons for investigating were very different though. Still, when she came close enough he nodded to an area up ahead as if to say 'can you smell that too?' the easily distinguishable scent of blood and death.

If he thought there was a chance there could be signs of something not human, she was also thinking the same. If Amaterasu was able to wake up here, there was no saying no darkness could show up here as well. Still, whether it be evil or not, it was still wrong to kill another, especially when someone like her didn't deserve this. Ears keep forward, eyes spotting the gesture and the Goddess lifts her head a little higher and towards the direction. She definitely smells it.

She's gotten far use to this scent by now, a sickening one to most but it only stirs the restless anger in the depths of her stomach. A light snort is given, jaws clenching together before she gives the Medicine Seller a side glance until she moved forward towards the area of the crime.

When the goddess was still beside him, the Medicine Seller leaned down enough to rest a hand atop her head in an attempt to soothe the obvious anger. It likely wouldn't do much, but it was the best he could do to try and keep her calm in such a situation. There was no need for her to be so angry and it wouldn't do well for either of them if, say, the killer returned to the scene of the crime and she flipped out on him/her/them.

Said hand retracted when she continued forward, him following at her side until they reached the scene. He stood just a few feet from the body, surprised the police hadn't arrived yet. Then again...if Somarium police were like any others in the world they would be taking their sweet time.

There was a soft 'thud' as the medicine box rolled off his back and hit the vanilla frosted snow beside him, and soon he was searching the drawers for something.

The light touch upon the top of her head helped cool her a little, reminding her of the situation at hand. It wouldn't be wise to allow her anger to take the best of her. A light sound left her, as though she was responding by saying she understood. When they began, she kept her pace matching with his until the pool of red caught her attention now. The sharp metallic stench of blood drifting into her nose, ears momentarily pressing back before forward again. It was just as it was upon the Dreamberry, not touched or moved.

Just like the Medicine Seller, Amaterasu was thinking the same. It appears they were the first ones here, which was good for them. While the man set down the box, she drifted just a bit closer, catching the different scents. One she recognized as Renge, but the other was.. quite odd. It had a strange feel to it, however she couldn't set any thought of what it could be. For a single moment longer she stayed still, listening and taking in the scents till she tilted her head towards the other's direction.

..What was it that he was looking for?

The Medicine Seller continued as he was, assuming the Goddess would do whatever it is she intended to do at the crime scene while he took his time going through the box. Eventually he produced not one, but five small scales, the very things that were jingling in there earlier.

It didn't even look like he moved as the scales rose up into the air and then landed in various spots. One on each of the buildings between the body, another on a lamp post and two more hidden somewhere in the snowy-frosty ground. When he was finished he closed the box and stood, glancing up at the scales as if he was waiting for something.

"Find anything...interesting?"
