Ezio was a regular to the coliseum now that he had good reason to go there. Every so often, when he actually had the time, he could stop by and see if any progress had been made on the secret room he had dubbed useful for his assassin brothers. Lightning seemed to be doing a good job while he was busy and he'd have to thank her for her hard work later--but that aside, he was usually setting up most of the actual training dummies and such ( ... )

Danny dimly registers someone watching him from off to one side, but he tries to ignore it, expecting them to move on. When they don't, his aim starts to stray: his audience is distracting him.

It doesn't take long for him to give up the farce, lowering the hand and turning to face his watcher. Danny's nerves get the better of him, now: his tone comes out sharper than he'd intended.

"What?"

The assassin says nothing at first, instead just giving the younger man a hard stare under the shadow of his hood: one he gave the novices that recently joined the order. Appraising Danny's skills despite having never seen anything like that in his life.

If he was so inclined he would say that he shouldn't be so easily distracted by someone watching, but he didn't. Not yet.

"Che?" He mocked, leaning against the wall slightly, "Nothing, I was only watching. It is not often I see something like that...that." he waved his hand around as if that would emphasise what he was talking about. You know...weird plasma stuff coming out of your hand.

Danny straightens unconsciously under the look, wanting to seem taller. He's had this look before...

... And whatever it was, this Ezio guy must be finding him lacking. Danny's expression dims at the brief mockery. As nice as he'd thought Ezio was, this version of him might be different. Danny's not going to let himself be caught off guard, if he turns out to have changed for the worse.

Folding his arms, Danny shrugs with forced casualness. "Yeah, you probably won't find much like it here."

Quite the contrary, actually. This 'version' of Ezio is actually nicer than his younger self. Granted, it's not by much, and he still likes to tease people, but he's more...mature now. In most cases anyway. He has no intention of doing harm to Danny, it would go against everything the brotherhood stood for, what he stood for...that and Naomi wouldn't like that now would she?

He lifted a brow up, giving a curious "Oh?" as if to urge the other to go on about his power. Whatever the hell it was, "Something like that is uncommon even in a strange world like this?"

No, of course she wouldn't. Fortunately, the boy is suspicious now because of nerves, and little else. With time, hopefully, he'll come to figure things out properly.

Danny glances down at his arms, clearly reluctant to go on. That's the problem with being in ghost form: people want to know what's up with his powers, when the background behind them is everything he wants to keep secret. The coaxing keeps him talking, though, even if it's just enough to say, "Yeah. It's something from my world."

Enough about him. "What are you doing here?"

Ezio seems to accept that answer for the time being, not very willing to pry at the moment. Either because he wasn't that interested in learning about the odd ghost powers or he was just so use to odd things in Somarium now that he let it slide without question; lest he end up learning something he didn't want to learn. It was up for debate, really.

"I was planning on training for a bit myself," He cocked his head to the side slightly, "Why else would I be here?" in the training room. Certainly not to just make you uncomfortable, Danny.

Nice one, Fenton. He's redirected the subject away from himself, only to make himself look stupid. "Oh," he says out loud, face feeling a little warmer. "Nevermind."

At least the guy wasn't too obnoxious over it. Danny clears his throat, a little, before taking the next question to come to mind. "So do you, uh, enter in the fights, or something?"

Ezio just laughed. Sorry, he couldn't help but make fun of his fail.

Everyone had secrets, right? and no one would blame Danny for not opening up to a man he barely remembered, "No, not often. I'm more here for personal training." in a room you do not know about. "This is the first time I've seen you here, so I assume you haven't had the chance to participate in a fight?"

Okay, so he's a little obnoxious. Danny's face reddens more at the laughter, but he takes it much the same way he takes taunting from bullies. (Of course, Ezio's teasing doesn't have the cruel bite that Dash's used to, so there's no serious resentment going on there.)

"Yeah," Danny admits. "Not yet. But I'm will, soon. I just need to see how they work, and then I'm in."

He nodded, folding his arms back over his chest, "Tell me how they are then, si? and maybe I'll participate as well." He smirked, reaching back to tug his hood up again, "If we fight against one another know that I won't go easy on you." He's teasing, really.

Danny rolls his eyes, and a ghost of a returning smirk appears around his face. This guy totally has no idea what he's getting into, but the challenge is impossible to let slide.

"Yeah, well--you better watch out, because I won't, either!" Even though he will. Because come on, half-ghost VS human? No contest.

Doesn't he? Ezio has played with magical artifacts and the like, he could probably think of something to go against ghost powers. and if not? then he'd still put up a good fight and go down laughing most likely.

"Bene, you should keep practicing then if you want to win."

"I could take you now, if I wanted," Danny retorts, folding his arms in an attempt to look tough. It fails: however strong he really is, he looks exactly like what he is: a scrawny fourteen-year-old trying to trash-talk an adult twice his size, and probably twice his skill.
