As far as Jigen knew, things were taking a turn to the better those pat days. He did happen to meet one or two nice people, he finally got himself a job and, while doing said job, he stumbled across what he had been looking for all along: a gun shop. Sure, it was small and almost completely hidden, but, hell, he wasn't going to care about that.
The gunman was more than happy when he left the store, carrying a new bag along with the ones he needed to take to the flower shop. He was even more elated due to the fact that they had his favourite model! How things could get bad? There was no way!
And, being the 'trigger happy' person he is, Jigen just couldn't wait to try out his new 'toy'. So, he stopped at some alley, put all his bags on the ground and opened up the one where his brand new Combat Magnum was resting, also opening up one of the ammunition packages.
One shot, just for fun. He thought to himself, smiling as he loaded the revolver. How he missed that. It was nothing like back then, during the Haloween event, when he got those unfamiliar guns along with that strange costume. That gun was his, and he could keep it with him for as long as he wanted.
Looking around trying to find something to shoot, he saw an eggplant lying on the ground just a few feet away from him. Well, he wasn't going to ask why the hell there was an eggplant there. Maybe it was rotten or something. No time to think about that. It was time to shoot stuff!
There was a loud bang inside the alley, and the eggplant was now in pieces. Jigen smiled in excitement. That gun was even better than his own back home. So new and shiny...
But then, something got him out of his little 'happy place'. He felt like he was being watched. Strange. He was sure to look for the most deserted street he could find. He looked back and saw no one there. But he did see more vegetables there on the ground, and not only eggplants.
Is it raining vegetables or what? Jigen looked up to the sky, scratching his head. He then looked down again and... Did that carrot just move?
Slowly getting his bags from the ground and putting away his gun, he gave a small step back. And the vegetables slightly moved towards him.
This... isn't happening. Jigen gave another step back and, when the crops moved again, he started to run. He isn't going to wait and see what those things were going to do. When it came to that weird world, there was no telling what simple food was capable off.
