Having fallen asleep in a pile of hay, Kiki was oblivious to the change in her surroundings as she continued to sleep.  The hay piled around her had been replaced with leaves and the cool air of a summer night grew the chill of a late autumn morning. The ( Read more... )

[She's just been exploring Somarium, really, and it just so happens that she comes across... a bow sticking out of a pile of leaves. Upon closer examination, there also seems to be a human hand.

Gleeeee. Chattering to herself absently--]

Ah, is this a murder scene? Or maybe it's just the severed hand of a victim, left behind by the murderer in order to sensationalize his acts! I've always wanted to touch a dead person's hand, you know? For one thing, it can't be anything like Kuru-nee's hand, and for another, the person is dead, so I'm sure they won't mind whatever I decide to do with the hand~

[Chatter chatter ramble ramble, she ambles forward cheerfully, and reaches down to tug at the hand.

A gleam when she realizes that it's still warm.] Oh, that's disappointing. The person's still alive! At least, it still feels warm. So unless it's a cooked hand, or a very recent murder, it's likely that the person is still alive. Aw, that's not nearly as much fun as a dead person's hand. For one thing, I can't stick it at Iza-nii's doorstep ( ... )

[If the tug on her hand didn't have her blinking awake with confusion the loud yell and sudden weight in the flurry of leaves certainly did. And then came the tickling. Groggy, confused and ticklish made for a very odd alarm clock. She's trying not to inhale any leaves while she's laughing.] S-stop!

[She laughs merrily, going in for the armpit poking.]

Only if you say the magic word!

[Curling into a ball she tries to push away the other girl's hands] Please! I c-can't breathe!

[Satisfied, she drops her hands, stumbling out of the leaf stack while laughing. She reaches back into the stack in an attempt to pull the other out, still out of breath.]

See? As long as you say the magic word, it's all going to work out! But hey, you really are ticklish, aren't you? I haven't seen someone that ticklish in a long time!

[Holding onto the other girl she stands up out of the pile, her cheeks flushed from all the laughing and tickling.]

You surprised me! I didn't think there'd be anyone else on the-... [Blinking she takes a look around. Open sky above, giant pile of leaves and fields all around them; she certainly didn't fall asleep here.] ...Train?

[Mairu looks amused at that.]

I wouldn't call this place a train, really. For one thing, it's not even going anywhere. For another, they don't even have those aisle-rollers that give out free samples!

[A giggle.] At any rate, you're going to have to get used to it. You're new here, aren't you?

If by 'new' you mean having no idea where I am, then yes. Um, where is 'here', exactly?

It's Somarium! Not that the name should mean anything to you, really. It didn't mean anything to me when I first got here. But anyway, it's not too bad of a place. Doesn't always rain leaves, but it's not a bad thing when it does.

Apparently, it gets weirder, but I haven't been here all that long, so I can't say for myself.

Somarium? [She's never heard of a place like that back home. Insert a confused tilt of her head here.] How did you arrive here?

...Oh, um, my name is Kiki. [Since she'd like to know who she is speaking with, but it's rude to ask someone's name without introducing yourself first.]

That's the funny part! Kuru-nee and I were watching re-runs of K*men Rider, when we fell asleep, and when we woke up again, here we were! Ah, I think I forget to put my VCR on, so I didn't tape it at all! And I really wanted to find out what happens next...

Oh, but your name is 'Kiki'? That's so adorable! It almost sounds like the kind of sound a small monkey would make, or something; not that I've ever seen a monkey, really, but I'm sure a cute enough monkey out there somewhere would make a sound like that~ Oh, but pardon me, I didn't introduce myself, did I? I'm Orihara Mairu, it's very nice to meet you! [No, she never stops talking, why did you ask? ;D]

[So they woke up here kinda like she did, eh? Well that's odd to say the least. Most of what she says regarding Kiki's name flies right over her head...something about a monkey although she does catch the girl's name.]

It's nice to meet you too. [Ah, that reminds her...she turns back to the pile she was pulled from.] Jiji, come say hello!

Jiji? [When she's greeted with silence she starts rummaging through the leaves.] Sorry Mairu, my cat seems to be hiding somewhere.
