Ezio had been out when Kara messaged him, and his dreamberry had been left on his bedside table at the time. So needless to say he was a little delayed in actually receiving it. Luckily for all parties involved Ezio still lived within spitting range of the tavern, so he took his time getting ready as the walk over would be all of a minute. If that ( ... )

She'd shrugged out of her jacket not too long before Ezio arrived thanks to the leather being far too hot for indoors and when she spotted him her lips curved up in a slow grin and she slipped the Dreamberry away although the bullet remained in her now closed hand. It was strange to see him outside of those robe things he wore that vaguely reminded her of priests but Ezio was about as far from priesthood as it was possible to be. He looked good in the modern clothes although when she caught sight of how few of the buttons he'd bothered with, she had to allow herself a snort and to hide her grin with raising her glass to her mouth ( ... )

"You should visit more often," if only to come and bother him a bit more. He would always enjoy her company, unless she was piss drunk and angry, then maybe not so much. Either way he needed to see a few more people outside of the circle of friends he had made here in Somarium. The few he saw in person. which namely consisted of Altair, Dastan, Naomi and Tifa. Everyone else was either through the dreamberry or in passing.

Catch up? Oh he intended to, and reached out for the glass once their introductions were through. He was rather fond of Espoir, but the city, the more he traveled into it, was growing on him. It reminded him of home in some...odd sense. The familiarity in having large groups of people walking through the streets may have been what did it. The tall buildings and the general atmosphere. Yeah...he needed to come into the city more, too. Maybe they could switch off.

"Surprisingly it's been well. I haven't broken anymore bones at least. What about yourself?"

"When I get the bike going it'll be quicker getting back and forth." And it'd stop her from drinking so much; being pulled over for a D.U.I wouldn't do her too many favours. It was good to see someone outside of work for Kara too. After all, she couldn't even name the other people who lived in her apartment block out in the industrial district and Locke had been the only real constant face recently and well, a lot of their time in the apartment had consisted of being bitter and probably depressed, drinking far too much and moving around each other pretty quietly ( ... )

"The bike?" remember what time he is from and why he wouldn't know what the hell you're talking about. Although he had been in the city enough to know what a car was...or to at least see one. She'd have to be more specific though, he was still riding around on a horse and everything ( ... )
