While his brother's idea of comfort included being around other people, Dastan had been thinking of simply buying something strong enough that it would probably leave him passed out on his couch, by himself before the wee hours of the morning. He couldn't stop mulling over what had just happened and walked as if stuck in a dream. And so when the Italian steered him towards the brothel, he hadn't realize he was heading towards the establishment until soft giggles broke his train of thoughts ( ... )

Once he was settled with a freckle-faced redhead in his lap, and a glass of wine in his hand, Ezio sighed. How long had he known what? That Naomi and Javert had a thing going? Not long, if at all, honestly. He had his assumptions after that little dinner they had shared and possibly a little bit before. It was today, after that false wedding announcement, that had put the icing on the cake and confirmed what he had been suspecting all along. To him it was not a big deal, in fact as previously stated he could probably care less about what or who Naomi did in her spare time. Being that they were friends, even if she was romping around with the Inspector, he had no right to object or even care ( ... )

"I know", conceded Dastan. As much as he hated being kept out of the loop, Ezio was right. It shouldn't have been anyone's place to tell him but Naomi's. And the fact that she didn't was probably what hurt him the most. Not having the relationship he had wanted with her was something he had mourned, well he thought he had mourned, but her lack in trust in him felt like a dagger to his heart. Especially that he felt like he had never given her reasons not to ( ... )

Ezio was just casually sipping at his own drink, idly speaking in Italian to the giggling redhead in his own lap when not speaking to his brother. All the while thinking of what exactly he wanted to say to him next. He knew, but obviously he was still going to be upset about it. Thankfully Dastan wasn't upset with Ezio ( so far as he could tell ) as much as he was just displeased about the situation as a whole.

Logically speaking Naomi could have made far worse choices. Sure the Inspector was a rather blunt, seemingly cold bastard with a heart wrapped in thorns and black ice, but he was also more than capable of handling himself and protecting the doctor if the need arose. Ezio was more than certain of that. Naomi was an intelligent woman and someone had to give her some form of credit where it was due. At least she chose the right people to keep close.

"There are plenty of other women, fratello." Oh so many. In fact there were a lot of 'other women' prancing around the brothel at the moment. Three or four of which were crushed on ( ... )

Dastan simply nodded to his brother's words. In the long run, this might not change anything between him and Naomi, but for now, he knew he had to reassess the level of trust he can have in her. Part of him didn't want to believe that the woman could share private information with the Inspector, but past experiences let him to thread carefully now. And it stung him a bit: as much as he was close to Ezio or Altaïr, there were things he had preferred discussing with the doctor in the past. But now, now it might not be possible, lest he wanted Javert to be able to gain that information.

As for the rest of the world being filled with other women, he knew that well and would surely come to see it in the future. He tilted his head for a moment, seemingly thinking about Ezio's question. But slowly his eyes were filling with a teasing light as he smirked:

"Can I put this on your tab ( ... )

Ezio sputtered, much to the dismay of the woman in his lap, who actually thought he was choking. Only relaxing when the assassin settled back against the couch and started laughing. Then she did promptly refill his glass of wine.

"My tab is quite large thanks to you, you know. But I'll allow it this time." He smirked, tapping the edge of his glass against the other mans and grinning behind it afterward. "Don't say I never did anything nice for you, fratello" he half scolded, shooing the woman off his lap to go and join the others that were swooning all over the Persian. "Go, he needs all the company he can get, bella."

The woman pouted teasingly, but gladly obliged and joined the others. Ezio was to content to watch as his brother, hopefully, got flustered. Simply for the amusement of it all. He took the moment to swallow down a healthy bit of wine before he settled back once more.

"I did see you with Judith the night of the fireworks, Dastan." he lived next door, it was impossible to miss. "You do know I owe her a dance, si?"

"Mmm, you mean the one you owe me? Yes, it is quite large, indeed. Though I might consider shortening it after tonight ( ... )

With that dream fulfilled Ezio just burst out laughing. He was lucky he wasn't drinking otherwise it would have gone everywhere. All over the nice carpet too, and he couldn't have that.

"I managed not to when I only had one arm free and a cast over it." that was the most awkward dancing he had ever done by the way. And he still did that gracefully, so give him some credit, bro. "I do not step on feet." although..Naomi did step on HIS once. Maybe he should watch out for Judith. She seemed the type to do it for fun.

He has to ask, "And how do you know?"

Ezio's laugh was received with a short lived, halfhearted glare from his brother.

She was exactly the type of woman to step on his feet, indeed. And despite not being the best dancer, that was something reserved to women in his world, he had managed to avoid stepping on her toes.

Dastan shrugged lightly, somewhat expecting the question: "I have both danced and trained with Judith."

And out of the two, he had felt much more comfortable training with her. They had a playful spar, which he let her win, of course. He had promised her that much after all.

He knew those glares meant nothing coming from the younger man. In fact they were something akin to the looks he use to give Federico when he was younger, so instead of making him feel even remotely threatened, they just made him smile.

"Have you? Well you'll have to tell me what moves she enjoys." Debatable, as always with Ezio, whether he was talking about dancing or something else entirely. Hell, he could have been talking about training for that matter.

"Feeling better yet? Or do I have to call more of my girls?"

Yes, for his glares were akin to those he'd give Tus when the older man would tease him back in Persia.

"Oh, I'm sure you can figure them out on your own, brother." He was not about to share how he got close to Judith. Not only because the Italian didn't really needed his help to do so, and also because he didn't want to share every detail of what had happened between them. Not that it was much, anyway.

Dastan gave Ezio a small smirk at his question: "I don't think there is any space left in my lap for more..." Indeed, the blond and the red head had made themselves comfortable over him, taking such liberties as wrapping their slender arms around his chest, small hands finding skin despite his shirt. It would take a while for the Prince to feel entirely better about the whole thing, but saying so seemed without use for now.
