As if on cue, Maia would suddenly find herself in the middle of a what could be assumed to be a raging tornado, sending the men spinning and rising up into its vortex to eventually slam them somewhere down in another part of the area. However, it wasn't affecting her at all, and Raven's concerned face just appeared above her.
"Hey, can ya move?" he asked as he began to examine the wound on her sternum.
No, he wasn't staring at her chest, it was the wound. The wound.
Maia couldn't speak, letting her screams die down into sobs until finally her tears ceased, leaving her breathing heavily on the ground. It took her pain-hazed mind a moment to register that there was someone else there, someone talking to her.
"I'm... I'll be fine..." she said, closing her eyes as her teeth began to chatter from the shock. "He's dead."
The statement was more to remind herself of that than anything-- though it was twice now she'd seen her brother's face as though he'd risen from the grave.
She opened her eyes again and began to push herself up, aware that she was a complete mess. "Th-thanks."
Raven glanced over where the two figures were, a skeptical look on his face. "Seemed pretty alive to me." He then returned his focus back on her, his hands immediately going to her to help give her support.
"Easy now, no need ta rush." Though it would be better if they could get out of there before the two lugs came back. "Sure ya can stand?"
Maia swiped the back of a hand over her eyes to make sure they were dry and took a deep breath. "Yeah," she said, though she was grateful for the support. "I-- I can stand."
Despite her saying so, however, she stayed seated, waiting for her trembling to slow. "That was just--" She swallowed. "Unexpected."
"I'll say. I was just tryin' ta find my way out and all of a sudden I see you bein' attacked."
Raven then took a moment to muse before pulling out his bow. "I ain't much of a healer, but this is better than nothin'." Maia would probably wonder two things: 1) why was he aiming the bow at her, and 2) why was he pulling the string back without any arrows equipped.
Those questions would soon be answered as a strange, blue energy-like beam formed from his fingers, and upon release they flew the short distance straight into her body. She would not feel them enter, but she would soon feel a strange, healing warmth throughout her body.

"Wait, what are you--" she began, widening her eyes at him, when he released the beam and warmth spread through her. The burning from the silver powder soothed; even her nerves calmed a little as the pain ebbed. Maia gaped, looking down at herself. She healed quickly, but never that quickly. And she knew that a Shadowhunter's iratze rune was healing, but she was pretty sure that she couldn't wear a rune.
"Thanks," she said again, surprised; then, "What was that? What you just did?"

He just gave her a wink and a grin. "Trade secret." Raven then stood and held out a hand. "Now come on, better get ya outta here before somethin' else shows up."
Maia accepted the offered hand, glancing over her shoulder as she stood. Though she couldn't see any sign of Jordan or Daniel, Gregg's body still lay in two pieces on the ground. She shuddered and looked away quickly.
"Yeah," she agreed, maybe a little too fervently. "Away from here is good. Hopefully there-- there won't be anything else around." As though saying it would make it true.
"Well, can't say this place is a fun house," Raven said wearily, recalling what he had to go through just to get where she was. "But s'always better ta have company, and it's even better when the company's a lovely young lady," he added with a grin before walking ahead of her, exiting the room.
Maia smiled wryly at Raven's back. She wasn't a fan of charmers, and she certainly wasn't lovely in her current state, but she appreciated the effort. And she most definitely agreed that it was always better to have company.
She hurried to catch up with him, anxious to get out of the blood-smelling room. She was still a little shaky but wasn't falling over, so she judged herself all right. "I'm Maia," she told him, slowing when she was alongside him. "Um... you didn't happen to see a guy with black hair and a glowing blade anywhere, did you?"
"A pleasure to meet you, Maia," he said with his old man charm before giving a short laugh. "Though probably be better if it were under different circumstances."
At her question, he raised an index finger to his chin, thoughtful. "A guy with black hair and a glowing blade...nope can't say I have. But we'll probably run inta him at some point."
"Well, when we get out of here, we'll be able to say it's a pleasure," Maia said easily, "but I am really grateful you came by when you did. Good to meet you, for sure."
She tugged on the edges of her hood at hearing Alec was no where to be found and sighed. "Hope so," she said. For as little as she knew him, she still wouldn't be happy to find he-- or anyone else, for that matter-- had run into trouble alone.
"You could try callin' him. Far as I know, our Dreamberries are still workin'," he suggested. Though he still walked in a rather carefree manner, he was still on alert. Last thing they needed was some random noctaere crashing through a wall and attacking them.
