It was supposed to a nice, quick visit to see how she was doing. But when Aerith wasn't at the shop, Zack figured that either something was wrong, naturally, or she was taking a day off. And knowing Aerith, she was way too passionate about her flowers to take a day off from something she loved. Clearly, something was wrong.
After he called her and found out she was home, Zack rushed to her apartment. They may not be dating anymore, but she was still a friend and Zack wouldn't leave her if she needed help. Soon enough he was at her apartment and he knocked on the door, hoping she was just sick or something.
