Sunny didn't realize that she was being followed until she heard the footsteps, and she froze, a chill going up her spine. If it was anyone she knew following her, she shouldn't have been hearing anything, especially if it was Snake or Frank. Snake told her there were dangerous people in this world. Maybe she really should have called him first!
Very cautiously, Sunny finally got the courage to peek over her shoulder behind her. She saw the woman standing there, and her eyes widened, and she quickly turned all the way around, not really believing what she saw at first.
"M-Meryl?" ... Well, ok, maybe she was supposed to call her "Mrs. Sasaki," but Snake called her Meryl all the time! A huge smile spread over her face. What a relief! She wasn't going to get kidnapped! "Meryl! Wh-When did you get here?"
Sunny just stared in somewhat stunned shock for a moment."You have...?"
But, how had she not seen her if she had already been there for so long? For sure, Snake or Naomi would have mentioned it, wouldn't they have? However, that wasn't what was confusing her the most.
"You d-don't remember me?" ... This made no sense. She was at her wedding. How could she forget?
Sunny shakes her head. At least as far as she knows, she's not new. She has no idea that she's been gone. She didn't understand how Meryl could be from much further behind her. After all, she looked exactly the same. However, after seeing Snake, she couldn't forget that some people here were from different time periods, even when they were from the same world.
She shakes her head again. The pleasant familiarity that she had felt with Meryl when she first saw her was starting to fade off... Which was strange, because she looked like the exact same woman that she had come to know. This was possibly even more confusing than Snake. At least the younger Snake had known who she was, and acted a little similarly.
"I..." ... Yes. Actually, that was how all of this wandering around business started. "I went to bed in my room, a-and I woke up in the city."
No wonder the holiday decorations seemed strange. She didn't understand the concept of jumping forward in this world even, but... Somehow it had happened. She was trying to accept it. "I-it's halloween again?"
"S-s-schools?" She looked especially curious at the mention of it... Would she have to go to school too now? She didn't have to the last time she was here.
