[early that day, Draco makes his way out to the field opposite his home, broom in one hand, and three balls of differing colours balanced neatly on top of each other in his other. He hums to himself before setting

[probably, being that Draco's now sizing Leonard up as a Beater. He taps his lip thoughtfully before holding his hand out for the broom.]

Assuming you're here to try out, since no one wanders Espoir with a broom otherwise.

[he nods, recognising and remembering, before casting the quick charm over the broom with his wand. Thoughtfully, he watches the broom float up before handing it back.]

Glad to have you, then. Let's see what you can do. Just mount your broom and kick off - try not to fall off.

Of course it can, what sort of wizard do you take me for?

Now, just steer it round with your body. Side to side and all that rot. And do try not to fall off.

[he gives Leonard a small nudge, wondering if he can send the man into a forward spin.]

I'm sure it's quite possible where you're from. You just haven't noticed it. [he rolls his eyes at that book / movie comment, though. He had enough of that from Sheldon already.

[He spends the duration of Leonard attempting to right himself thoroughly entertained, tipping his head to the side in assessment. He wasn't horrid, but he wouldn't do at the moment in time. Practice made perfect, though.]

Work on keeping your centre, hm? You'll be steadier.

[he examines his nails throughout now, rolling his eyes skyward.] You Muggles. Never believing a word a wizard says. It's more than possible.

[and finally, back up to Leonard.] Once you stop wobbling, that's your centre. You'll know it when you find it.

[but slugs are so much fun!]

For me, it was. But I started flying the moment I could walk. So honestly, it wasn't that much a stretch. I do recommend getting a bit lower to the broom, though. [though, now that he thinks about it, flattening to the broom usually just makes it go faster.]

[....it was funny for Draco. In fact, back where he stands, he makes a very weak attempt to not double over in laughter at the image. It reminded him, after all, of Neville Longbottom's failure to fly. Now the real question was if he wanted a Longbottom clone on his team.]

I'm not sure a roof is exactly useful to playing this game, then. Why not come back?
