The day following the one she had met Altaïr over his dream of the Templar Knights, Lara had arrived at the library hours early to their rendez-vous time. She had easily found the building and the moment the doors had been unlocked, she had walked in. The first hour she had spent walking around the historical books section had been highly frustrating. For one, it seemed that the section had been thinned out, barely a dozen books about Earth's history composing it. And those that were not torn apart were only too general for the purpose she needed them. The librarian had simply shrugged out as an explanation that the building had been the target of a strange attack months ago, and most precise books had been destroyed or stolen.
And so, the Tomb Raider had spent the next hour writing down in her newly acquired notebook what she remembered about the Templar Knights and the relics that were said to be in their possession at some point. She had even drawn, albeit a bit basically, the
Ark of Covenant as the bible had described it, as well as the
Holy Grail. The True Cross and the Shroud of Turin were lesser relics in the Tomb Raider's mind, though she had noted what she knew about them as well.
Once done with pouring out details about Altaïr's time, Lara had scoured the library for books about Somarium. Again, she had found herself frustrated by the lack of real, juicy information. General atlases, compendium of the fauna and flora of the dream world had all she been able to find. Still, she had brought the most interesting ones to a table in the middle of the main floor.
Time had truly flew by and by the time set up for their meeting, Lara was still deeply in her reading, her feet propped up on the table, despite the occasional glaring from the librarian. The books were spread on the table, some opened and her notebook had been placed in her lap, her right hand scribbling down any interesting details she could pick up.
