Sena sneezed.
It was an inglorious way to wake up, to be sure, but it got the job done. Why he didn't wake up in bed was beyond him--there was wheat (wheat?) tickling his nose and the sun in his eyes. He yawned deeply, unable to place for a moment or two just where he was--unconsciousness had a hard grip on him, and it didn't want to let go easily.
When it did, and reality came crashing back hard on its heels, Sena bolted to sit upright, staring up at the sky--the skyline of Somni barely visible above the waving grain, at this level. He was in Espoir? The last he remembered was falling asleep in his bed...
Sena fumbled for his Dreamberry, finding it not in his pocket but a foot away, nestled in the stalks of wheat. "What..."
It looked different than it had before, if only a little--the voicemail and inbox had been cleared of messages, and when he glanced at the calendar...
That couldn't be right. He'd slept for a long time before, but that was just ridiculous...a month and a half?
He rose to his feet, a little dizzy, a little stiff, and looked around as he made his way out of the field. Definitely Espoir. He turned to look for the floating castle, finding it...conspicuously absent. Weird...and the fact that the lack of a giant castle was strange was also kinda weird. Oh well.
He'd been asleep so long, everyone else was bound to be worried...
