The bar was fairly quiet this evening. Not that Tifa was surprised, the week had been so confusing and weird that she doubted many had time to stop by for food or a drink.

But as she bumped the door to the kitchen open with her hip and stepped out behind the counter, she saw a man sitting at the bar. He was saying something, but she missed it, as she had just stepped in at the end of his sentence. It didn't matter though really, it looked like a customer, and it was her job to serve after all.

Walking over and pushing her dark hair back behind her ears, Tifa stood in front of him. "Hi there, can I get you something?"

Oh, hello. Ezio looked up as the woman approached, his lips instinctively curving up in a small smile. No matter how out of it he was, or what had happened, the smiling face of a beautiful woman always seemed to cheer him up. If only a little. And she was indeed beautiful--and very well endowed he noticed. He was talented enough to keep his sights upward though.

"Buon giorno, bella." he nodded, flicking a hand nonchalantly at the question, that smirk widening a bit,

"Surprise me."

"You got it," she answered, reaching down to grab a glass. Whenever a customer said to surprise them, she took a quick second to study them, and guess what sort of person they were. What did their clothes say, what did their facial expression say?

This one was difficult to read, but she'd just do her best, wouldn't she? Or she could totally mess with him. He seemed like a guy who could take it. Grabbing the right ingredients, she mixed up a good old Cosmopolitan.

Yeah, it was a girl's drink. But it'd still be the best damn Cosmo he'd ever have. It would even have a little umbrella in it for good measure. She grinned as she slid it across the counter to him. "Here you go.

At this point you could probably give Ezio the fruitiest, most fabulously girly drink in the universe and he wouldn't care. He just wanted to sit here and think, and now stare at the good looking woman serving him at the bar. To hell if anyone saw or cared what he was drinking, he had enough testosterone to more than make up for it.

He nodded his thanks when the drink came sliding his way, giving it a once over, and despite not knowing what it was, he couldn't help but feel like he shouldn't be drinking something that looked so fabulous. No point in insulting the woman, and when he did take a sip it was actually really really good.

"Grazie,--" there was a pause. please insert name here.

His reaction was favorable. Since he hadn't chucked the thing back at her, she took that as it was okay. Tifa wiped her hands on a towel, and then grabbed a clean washcloth to begin wiping off previously used glasses.

"Tifa," she said, assuming he wanted her name. "And you are?"

She assumed correctly then, that's exactly what he wanted. He set the glass down again, keeping his fingers curled around the base as he watched still.

"Tifa." He repeated, rolling his tongue with a light click against the roof of his mouth. "beautiful." with that added, he looked down at his drink.

"I'm Ezio," a pause, gaze shifting once more back up to the woman, "It's a pleasure, Tifa. Have you been here long?" Meaning Somarium, not the bar. but either worked.

It wasn't often men told her that her name was beautiful. It was simple enough, her mother and father had picked it out of the air rather than it having any significance. All the same, she liked it, and the compliment made her blush very slightly. "Thank you."

She extended her hand for a shake, "Pleasure to meet you too, Ezio. I've been here about a year now, actually."

He took note of that blush, chuckling near inaudibly against his glass as he took yet another few sips. It was probably better she made this than anything, he really didn't need to be hammering down hard liquor now. That'd end badly. "Of course, signora."

He offered his free hand to her, leaning just enough so he could raise her hand to his lips and kiss along the gloved knuckles in greeting.

"Along with many others it seems." he was getting use to hearing people say they had been here a long time, and the thought that he may be stuck here for that long...or longer made him inwardly wince. He didn't have time to be futzing around here. He was a revenge driven assassin and he had shit to do.

He finally released her hand, having forgotten he had a hold of it then, "I've only just arrived myself...at a strange time it seems." grumblegrumble.

Well now, where had this guy come from? Tifa could sincerely say nobody had ever kissed her hand like that, even with the vast amount of patrons she had served alcohol to through the years. It wasn't unwelcome at all, it was certainly behavior she could get accustomed to. What a charmer.

"Ah, a new guy. All this must be hard to get used to, huh?" Somarium was an odd place, she knew that much. But currently, even Tifa was a little unnerved by the recent events.

He gave a small shrug, "A bit, but I am not unaccustomed to strange happenings." more like tragic, horrible happenings, but strange was a good word too. What was his life?

he softened his gaze a little when he looked back up to her, "There are some things I don't mind about Somarium," He offered, that smirk once more finding its way to his lips. Old habits were just so hard to break, "The company is nice." Looking at you, Tifa.

"Well now, then you'll fit right in here if you're used to strange," she commented, laughing softly. She herself had seen enough oddities and tragedy in her life to not be all that surprised by the things Somarium threw her way. Way to have things in common, right?

That look was definitely something she had seen before. With a wry grin, she cocked her head to the side, "I'm glad to hear that. Can't have you being lonely in a place like this, right?"

Yes, this is just what he needed. He was still tired as all hell, but at least he wasn't lingering on terrible thoughts on how he'd never get out of here. Or how he'd never be able to finish all the work he had to do back home. No, it wouldn't do him any good, and he WOULD get back eventually. One way or another.

"Mmm," he hummed his agreement, finishing the last bit of his drink, "You've done well remedying any 'loneliness' I've felt tonight, bella mia." He gave a more sincere smile now, "Thank you."

"You're very welcome." And in return he got a sincere smile from her. If she could honestly make her customers feel better, then she felt like she'd done her job. It was one thing to serve drinks. It was another to give a comforting atmosphere and vibe that made the people who came in feel like they had stepped into their own home.

Moving over to get herself a glass for a drink, she asked, "Do you want something else? Or perhaps something to eat?"

"Just water now, I think." He offered his glass to her. Yeah, he really didn't need more fabulous, fruity drinks right now. He was just going to watch while she meandered around behind the counter, keeping himself half leaned on the top.

"If I had known there was such a kind, beautiful woman like you working here, I would have visited sooner." and when he wasn't exhausted.

Nodding in response, Tifa took the glass and switched it out for a clean one. The fridge was opened and a bottle of cold, clean water popped open to pour out for him. Then she grabbed a bottle for herself, poured herself a glass, and walked over to Ezio to hand him his drink. "There, nice and cold."

She moved to the stool sitting on her side of the counter and sat, pulling it closer to him so she could still listen if he wanted to chat. Her dark hair fell in front of her face, partially obscuring the smile that had formed. "They keep me a secret to surprise the customers; usually I'm hidden in the kitchen and someone else is tending bar." She laughed softly, indicating she was mostly teasing.

"And besides, now that you know, you can come by any time you want."

"Grazie, bella" He took the glass with another nod of thanks, taking a few sips before setting it down once more. Clearly he was more interested in her than his drink. As to be expected considering her beauty, kindness and all around inviting personality.

Now that she was closer, and within arms reach. He took the moment to brush those few locks of hair from her face, tucking them instead behind her ear with a wry little grin.

"A shame, they shouldn't keep such a beauty hidden away." he chuckled, retracting his hand as his fingers ghosted over one of her cheeks in passing, "I intend to. Conveniently, I do live rather close."
