It is well past midnight when Naomi finally drags herself back to her home in the evacuated Government District of Somni. She's been out since the previous night, when the castle tipped and came tumbling down, moving throughout the crash site to tend to the injured and restore a bit of peace amidst the chaos of the situation. Though she'd taken brief breaks to keep her strength up during the day, she's been on nonstop duty since the crash occurred, leaving the already ill doctor much weaker than she'd ever felt before.
The woman is a complete mess when she trudges up to her front door. Her dark hair is hanging loose over her dirty and bloodied lab coat, her legs shaking underneath her. She leans forward onto the door frame for support as she fishes out her house key, eyes already starting to feel heavy.
All she wants to do is crawl into bed and sleep for a few hours before she's called out again for new patients. But in her exhaustion, she's completely forgotten about the guest she invited to stay with her for the evening.]
