status: Open. While it's terribly rude in Victorian England if you suddenly joined a tea party without an invite . . . well, this isn't England :) And it's not as if she'd check every single invite.
Everything's all set and done. The garden had been tended to, the silverware polished and the snacks prepared. It took a while and an effort to do, especially without so much help from anyone, but Merry would have done it anyway if it would mean Cain could relax even for a while. Another sweeping gaze to check that everything's in order - the tablecloths and napkins all straightened out - before she turned back to the cottage.
Now for the guests . . .
[ OOC Note: As mentioned in the previous post, everyone Merry spoke to in Somarium is invited but not limited to, as said residents may bring whomever they want into the tea party. Cain's friends and friends of friends are also invited.
Uhm, typical English tea party. There are a number of tables - most likely six people to a table - where people can sit and chat. There are food on every table - cream scones with clotted cream and raspberry jam, various little cakes and tarts, shortbread biscuits and linzer cookies, madeleines, field sandwiches and a few others I can't remember from my class - and Merry, as the hostess, will go around to mingle or if anyone wants tea. Tea is Earl Grey if you want your character to complain on it.
Just one rule she'll be imposing: NO BREAKING THE CHINA PLZ. Other than that, go wild. ]
