The Prince was lying down in a green field in Espoir, taking in the warm rays of the sun. His eyes were closed, as he were dozing slightly. His recent encounter with the Inspector, as well as his slight fight with the Princess had made him lay low for the couple last days, something the Persian could not remember doing in a long time. Not that he was a lazy person to say, but he could not deny enjoying the peace he had for the past few days.
His light slumber was however rudely interrupted as Dastan felt a velvety nuzzle nibble his face, a rough tongue lapping out at his cheek. The young man groaned as he pushed away the intruder, sitting up slightly:
"Urgh, I'm no grass!"
Wiping himself with his sleeve, he looked up and surprise was undeniable on his face: in front of him stood a horse he would have recognized a thousand miles away:
"Aksh?"
The Prince jumped to his feet, catching
the stallion's reins with one hand, his eyes scanning the green plain, his heart thundering in his chest. If Persia's most known horse was in Somarium, it could only mean that...
"Garsiv? GARSIV?"
The youngest son of the Persian King called out, almost in hope that his middle brother would jump behind him. But the black horse's disappointed whine confirmed what he seemed to have known all along: his brother was still safely in Alamut. Dastan looked back at Aksh, his free hand coming up to pet his mane:
"Looks like it's just you and me, huh?"
The horse bopped his head up and down before clicking a hoof onto the ground impatiently. The Persian laughed, understanding well what the stallion wanted and easily climbed on his back. Aksh buckled eagerly but still waited for the light kick to his thighs before starting to trot in the field. On his back, Dastan smiled widely, letting the stallion ease himself into this new world before letting him loose on the field.
