The young man slowly opened his eyes, finding himself very far from the safety of the Imperial City of Pendragon. He was located in what appeared to be a very quaint village, similar to the one seen in C.C.'s memories, though the differences were apparent enough that he was easily able to establish that this was not the world of C, but something far different. He sat for several moments, running through situation after situation in his head as to why this could be happening to him.
A malfunction in the Geass. No, this is far too simple a result. You were witness to the destruction of the Thought Elevators and the Sword of Akasha, you have been to the world of C, and this appears to be nothing more than a small village located somewhere within Britannia's control. But, if that were the case, then why have I no knowledge of this place?
Is this something of Schneizel's doing? Is he even capable of this? Ah, he is a very formidable adversary of mine, the only one man I was never able to defeat at chess. Yet, given his powerful mind and the forces supporting him, I don't think his talents are of this magnitude. He is not the man of miracles.
I've no other way to explain my being here, though, than attribute this to Schneizel. But, if this is just part of his game, then wouldn't I be held prisoner, guards surrounding me, watching my every move? Yes, I believe that would be the case. He and Cornelia would never thrust me into a place like this and leave me to my own devices, especially given the fact that they are aware of the power I possess.
He stood up and brushed the dirt from his white robes, deciding that it would be in his best interest to begin taking in as much of his surroundings as possible and learning what he was up against in this new arena. He searched his clothing for his phone, wondering if the one responsible for this was smart enough to remove any form of communication from him. If he could contact C.C. or Suzaku, even Jeremiah, this would be easily put to an end.
Perhaps things were in his favor. There was a small phone in his pocket, though it was nothing he had ever seen before. It was certainly not the phone he used to contact the Black Knights, nor the one he used to contact those back at Ashford. A few touches on the screen and Lelouch had arrived at the list of contacts. Scrolling through, there were names on here he did not recognize, names that didn't even look Britannian or Japanese.
"C.C.?" he said aloud, surprised to see the witch's name under the list of contacts. Stopping for a moment, he calls and leaves the green-haired witch a
voicemail with specific instructions.
What is she doing here? Why has she not contacted me? Certainly our connection would alert her of my presence. She knows better than to leave my side unless I give instruction to... but when has my instruction actually made an impact on her?
Geass. Does it even work in this place? Has some measure been taken to prevent any use of the code? I must find out, but I cannot go giving commands I may regret at a later date. It is best that I speak with C.C. before casting my Geass upon any of the residents. This will be necessary if I am to accomplish anything, whether it be finding my way back to my empire or creating a new empire.
He slowly made his way through the small town, smiling at the people he passed, acting as if nothing out of the ordinary were happening. His clothing looked a bit out of place, but that could easily be fixed. There seemed to be a few places he could go to get a pair of pants and a shirt, possibly a jacket and a new pair of shoes. He wanted to blend in as much as possible until he was comfortable with his current situation and knew the reasons behind why he was here. Now wasn't the time to be announcing the fact that he was the Emperor of Britannia.
