[Tieria looks at the time on his Dreamberry. It was 5 minutes till the time he specified during their conversation the other day and Kira Yamato was nowhere in sight. With an exasperated sigh, he takes a seat on the steps outside

[Kira is simply making his way through the Business District, stopping occasionally to observe his surroundings and analyze the area as a whole. It was his first time in that part of the city after all, and if he was going to be living there, he figured that it'd be best if he checked the area out on his way.

He isn't doing it to be late, of course. He knows that Tieria is doing him a huge favor, he had mentioned that he didn't do this kind of thing often after all. He's grateful really, even if he knows it to be a somewhat one sided feeling.

As he approaches the building, he notices the fellow pilot sitting on the steps and sprints over, waving and smiling as he does so. He hadn't checked the time, but he knew that he couldn't be more than maybe a minute late, but would Tieria really hold that against him?]

[Tieria looks up to see Kira smiling and waving, not offering to do either in return. He stands up and brushes his khaki pants off, smoothing the wrinkles out of his pink shirt. Yes, he's wearing a pink shirt, Kira.]

What type of unit are you looking for? I have found that there are small units on the first eight floors. Floors nine through twelve are larger units. My living space is the large unit at the top of the building - I believe it would be termed a penthouse apartment.

[And he slows to a stop near Tieria, smile wavering slightly. No greeting, smile or wave in return...not that he was surprised, of course. But the sudden amount of information on the complex catches him off guard, and he hums thoughtfully.]

I have my own pick, just like that?

[A pause. So many choices, so many choices.]

I guess a unit on the floor under yours works.

There seems to be no need for a lease or any contract.

[He turns to walk up the steps and into the lobby of the apartment complex]

Please follow me, we can look at the units on the 12th floor if you'd like.

Yes. [A nod.] I would like that.

[He follows suit, walking up the steps into the lobby. It was a lot nicer than he was expecting. He shifts his gaze all around the room as he walks.]

Wow. This place is really nice, Tieria.

The design reminds me a lot of what I am used to.

[He looks about the lobby before stepping onto the elevator]

The surroundings are very streamlined and what one would consider to be "modern." It makes me feel very... comfortable.

Yeah. It does remind me of home...

[He hesitantly steps into the elevator after Tieria. He allows a moment of silence before breaking it.]

Thank you, by the way. I...really do appreciate all of this.

[That sounds a little awkward, but it's said with such sincerity.]

I am uncertain as to whether or not you would have been able to find suitable living arrangements without my help. There are several that I looked at that were deplorable.

[The elevator doors open when they reach the 12th floor and Tieria steps off and turns to look at Kira]

You can choose any unit, though I do not believe them all to have the same floor-plan.

Regardless of if I needed the help or not, I'm still grateful for it.

[He steps off, and darts his eyes around the hallway. He takes a few more steps forward.]

I'm sure any unit will do, I'm not really that picky when it comes to things like this.

[Because anything is better than the cabins on the Archangel. He's just going to pick the room with the nicest view.]

I would think that you would want living quarters that you are comfortable with.

[He frowns]

Nothing on Earth, however, is what I would consider to be comfortable.

[After a brief sigh of exasperation, Tieria motions for Kira to pick an apartment. It's not like he had all day to stand here and chat.]

[He notices the gesture and the impatience and quickly moves for the nearest door knob, room 1204, and steps inside. He continues the conversation anyway.]

You like it better in space, then?

There is nothing desirable about life on Earth.

[Tieria was designed for life in space, Kira, but you don't know this. And he probably won't tell you. I don't think he knows specifically what he is at this point in his life.]

I wouldn't go as far as to say that.

[And he's poking around the apartment, analyzing this and that as he speaks.]

I guess it's all up to personal interpretation.

The Earth is filthy and gravity is something I would rather not have to deal with. I feel much more comfortable in space. I prefer the pristine environment on the Ptolemaios.

Gravity isn't all that bad, and as for the filth? I mean, it's is the Earth. It can't be helped.

[He exits the room, and moves for the next one, analyzing it like he did the last. It takes him a minute to continue speaking.]

What's the Ptolemaios? I've never heard of it before.

The Ptolemaios is the tactical ship and general purpose Mobile Suit transport station used for myself and my colleagues.

[It is also where Tieria can connect to Veda, but he won't be talking about this.]
