It was hard not to get distracted by every little thing in such a place. It all looked so wonderful, and more than that she didn't have a clear idea what she was even looking for. That was always dangerous when you were as fond of food as Saber. She did have a bit of a list, but nothing substantial; she couldn't decide on a single recipe in that book she had found after all.
This learning how to cook had proven to be difficult, and she had already burned through the ingredients in her home with failures. But this was something she needed to do to at least rid some part of her life of that horrid King of Her--
Dammit, stop thinking about him!
After going so long without seeing him, she had hoped he would vanish from her thoughts. Like most things relating to him, she was wrong. She was more aggravated than normal and thought of him more and more the less he was in her presence. Broadening her skills--learning to cook--was an activity solely intended to occupy her time.
For the moment, she was trying to decide what kind of meat she wanted. Like a child, she stared in mild amazement and wonder at each one. A testament to her struggle with the benefits of each one.
