[hum-de-dum, homeless witch walking around. Pauses and blinks with a raised-eyebrow at the dragon passing through]

[You are NOT his person, oddly-colored person. He does whuff at you for a moment, though, and tilts his head at that interesting hair color; that's something he sees on dragons, instead of people.]

Are you going to just stare at me, or would you like me to tell you what I know?

[He can't do both? And possibly stalk forward a little for a better look and snuffle?]

[Hakkai seems to be preoccupied with scouring the kitchen counters when the door to his cottage swings open. There aren't a lot of dragons in Somarium, but they're common where Hakkai comes from.]

Oh, hello there.

"WHFF."

[Is his response, as he takes a quick sniff and look around the inside. Still no Hiccup...Although whatever this person is doing looks interesting.

He's just going to streeeeeetch his nose in a little further. For investigation purposes.]

[Toothless might be able to smell that a small dragon has been living in this cottage, thought it doesn't seem to be present at the moment. He might even recognize the dragon's smell on Hakkai's person, if he gets close enough.]

Are you looking for something?

"GRONK?"

[Yes, he certainly does smell that! Those little ear fronds are now swiveled fully forward, and he takes a few steps further inside. He can't identify what sort of dragon it might be; something about is highly unfamiliar...But still comforting. And it's enough to have him lose some of that tenseness. No more mantling around the new person. For now.

He also perks up a little more at that question, looking even more alert, and wide eyed. Translation = YES.]

[She blinks when she looks up from her book as soon as she heard the tree she was under. She gets up when she hears it creak and when she watches move all about she can't help but giggle at the creature inside.]

Why hello!

[The growl doesn't bother her, she's seen such curious things after all.]

"...Ur?"

[Blond hair. Blue clothing. And distinctly NON-Astrid like giggle, or scent. Clearly, this requires closer (but careful!) investigation!

Yep, getting out of the tree now; watch out for any springy branches when he hops down.]

[She watches the dragon with her own curiosity. She'd never thought she'd meet an actual dragon! This is so wonderfully exciting! Alice watches Toothless get out of the tree, a few leaves falling on her.]

[And now, there's a Night Fury cautiously edging towards Alice, giving her a few whuffling sniffs. Nothing threatening so far, so that's good; this might even warrant a cautious nudge with his nose.]

[Tonks is wandering, albeit with a lot of tripping over things, and just investigating.

Safe to say she wasn't expecting to see a dragon. Where in the name of Merlin's saggiest y-fronts is Charlie Weasley when you need him?]

Oh...bollocking...shitbags...

[And now she's scrambling to remember something, anything, she's heard about dragons during her education.]

[Fish helps. Fish helps a lot.

That dragon is now very interested in all that frantic motion, not to mention those odd words coming out of this person's mouth. Annnd...Yep. He's starting to creep a bit closer to investigate, although all those movements are making him tense and careful, almost like a big (fire breathing, winged) cat.]

[Okay, time to get the wand out although she isn't exactly sure what to do. None of her training ever involved dragons so she holds out one hand - not the wand hand in case it gets chomped because it's vital equipment - in what she hopes is a calming way.]

Nice dragon?

[Mind the eye contact! This, though...He's encountered this before, and from his buddy, of all people!

That stick gets a curious, half careful look. His eyes narrow for a moment, but there isn't anything about what she's holding that suggests sharp edges or the like. And to top it off, she's saying things that his person has! That similarity is enough to tempt him to try something new.

So, he's just going to open his mouth a little to show his lack of teeth. See? No threat posturing, yet!]

[Judith is just wandering, like usual, and she can't help but notice the giant black creature investigating the area. She has a soft spot for creatures like this, and this one in particular reminds her of her own friend back home.]

I haven't seen you around here before.

[She smiles, and confidently makes her way closer.]

[The reaction to that posture is interesting. For one, his head shoots straight up from his investigation of a nearby bucket, and watches her very carefully.

He'll just...Stay sitting right there, and try to figure out whether this new person is a threat or not. No moving backwards, but no moving forwards either. There is some definite head tilting going on as well.]

[She pauses not far from the dragon, but far enough to not intimidate in any way. She folds her arms loosely behind her, and leans down. She keeps her eyes fixed on the dragon, and her smile remains.]

My, aren't you small.

[She makes a humming sound, and darts her eyes around the dragons physique.]

You must be quite young.

[If it's possible for a Night Fury to make a B|! face, Toothless is definitely pulling it off. He has his pride, too! It just gets swiftly forgotten if there's a dot of light to be chased.

So, it's clearly time to show off just how impressive he is! Rearing up, fanning out his wings and...Letting his teeth pop out from his gums. Doesn't that sight just fill you with awe?

...Doesn't it?]
