The day was perhaps a little too warm for to be walking around in layers of dark clothing and leather shoes. And yet Sebastian was unconcerned for the discomfort. Hell is hot and so is this butler. I mean, what?

Perhaps he wasn't the best person to ask for an explanation, but the doctor was nearby in an equal amount of cloth, though his were opposite the other man's in their lightness, not a drop of color on him, save his skin and the pale blue of his eyes. He'd been wandering this 'city of dreams', as the boy had called it, since he'd gotten bored of agitating his young enemy.

He was in equal need of someone to ask about this place and/or how he arrived here rather than at Kokakuro. And the young man in black seemed both mildly reliable and like he wasn't in a rush to be anywhere, so that was as good a start as any.

Without a trace of silence, the doctor approached the stranger, the most charming grin worn on his face as he attempted to make conversation. "Why hello sir..."

Sebastian paused in the street, glancing at the stranger.

Then he offered him a formal bow, eyes slowly assessing the man as he moved.

"Good afternoon."

Likewise, the doctor scanned him quite thoroughly, though without his powers, he found it infinitely harder to get a good read. Well, as far as how strong the man was and the like. He supposed it'd be safe to assume he had the usual, human amount of energy. Nothing spectacular.

But still, it didn't hurt to have manners for those who had manners towards him. He bowed back, still smiling as charmingly as possible.

"Good afternoon to you too. I was wondering if you could help me procure some information, if you're not too busy..."

Absently, Sebastian fingered the pocket watch, but didn't go so far as to flip it back open. That would be rude.

While he was relatively busy - determined to unearth his own information, propriety won out over selfishness. He had a role to play, and he adhered to that role flawlessly.

"How may I be of service?" Sebastian replied, one dark brow raised.

Well that was surprisingly easy. Wasn't this the sort of situation where people liked to keep secrets usually? Heh. Muraki laughed inwardly at the thought. "Oh well, I was told this was a 'land of dreams', but I'm still unaware of how I got here or what exactly is going on."

He quirked a curious eyebrow at the other man, pretty certain that if this were any other situation, he'd sound like a madman. Luckily, he was pretty certain he was still sane, just... in a bad place.

"I'm afraid, having arrived in similar circumstances, I have nothing for you. I haven't been here long. But I hardly think we're dreaming."

After all, he rarely slept. There simply wasn't enough time in the day.

"That's a shame." Really, he didn't sound too displeased. After all, there were many more people in this city, and not all of them could be completely clueless. Right?

"No, this is hardly a dream. Much too mundane." That and the whole 'he can feel everything like it's real life' thing. Not that there aren't some very realistic dreams, but this was beyond that. You can definitely tell when you're asleep or awake after a few minutes.

"And might I ask who you are?" It was remiss to stand around conversing to someone without the proper introductions. Besides, Sebastian liked to be informed.

"Oh sorry, forgive my manners", Muraki shook his head. Such a shame, he'd been raised better than that, hadn't he? He bowed his head, "I am Dr. Kazutaka Muraki. And you...?"

"Sebastian Michaelis," the demon replied, though he thought perhaps he ought to add his own title for the purpose of symmetry, as strange as it might sound at the moment, as he was acting outside of his master's direct orders, and far-removed from the manor or the London townhouse, or England itself.

But he was still a butler to the core, regardless of where he found himself, provided the contract was still in tact.

"I am the Phantomhive butler."

The name wasn't familiar to him, but he figured it was probably a name most people from wherever Mr. Michaelis was from would know. Probably pretty high-class too, for someone to readily give out the knowledge of their employment in such a manner.

"Good to meet you, Mr. Michaelis. I'm guessing we're from different times or places, seeing as most people in my age don't dress like that." Though it wasn't exactly a stretch to see a butler dressed that way.

"Do they not?" Sebastian replied, barely affording his own clothes a glance. He knew the uniform was immaculate, in spite of the travel.

"And might I ask where you're from?"
