It was was the lack of his own footsteps echoing on the marble floor that first alerted to Zero that something was wrong. Distracted by the conversation he'd just underwent with Yuuki within her dorm room, it wasn't often that she'd hide herself away from the world. His own ( Read more... )

He knew his frame and posture as well as he knew his own. One might think that odd, but Kaname Kuran had practically raised the Vampire Hunter turned Vampire from when he was a child. Zero Kiryuu was an interesting person, indeed. Not only did he have the heritage of a powerful group of people organized to hunt his own race running through his veins, but he was also a part of the very race that he hunted. It was such a cruel fate... one that Kaname often looked upon with guilt. After all, he had a large hand in the cards that had been played to the boy...

Kaname continued to move closer, an almost sad expression on his face. The thoughts running through Zero's mind had been so similar to his own when he had arrived, only Kaname had directed his anger at another. Slowly, he bent down to pick up the other boy's Dreamberry. He looked it over carefully, inspecting it for any differences that it might have had when compared to his own, and then held it out to Zero calmly.

"My guess is that it already knows to take the shape of Bloody Rose," he said as if it would make sense to the angry scowl in front of him.

Zero just glared at the vampire standing in front of him, hand outstretched as if he was trying to do the hunter a favor by handing him that..thing. That was not his gun...

"What sort of illusion is this?" he growled, refusing to retrieve the strange magic the monster was trying to offer him.
