The race was sure to be a close one.
Even without the comfort of her kelvar-armored batgirl suit, Stephanie raced her way smoothly past trees and shrubs (and hungry predators) on her way to meet with Tim near the volcano. And more surprising than the change of atmosphere from what Somarium usually looked like, was the fact that she was happy to see him again. Happy? Really, Steph?
It was strange to the teenager to see how suddenly her mood could change about him. He'd been so different back home when she'd last seen him months beforehand. So moody, so brooding, so not Tim--He had completely pulled a 180 from the boy she had known for so long and turned into Red Robin, the dark knight wannabe with a heart of stone. But now, he was so much more like-...well, Tim!
And even cutting out that nasty romantic history they had together, she had always cared for the Boy Wonder as one of her dearest friends and comrades. There was no one else who she'd rather be stuck fighting with.
It really felt like her friend had come back to her, at long last.
Approaching the clearing she had set out to meet Red Robin at, the blonde girl couldn't help but peek around wildly to see if she'd been beaten or not. She'd be smiling either way.
