Despite Somarium's recent occurrence with the various growths and vegetation that seemed to appear out of nowhere, Travis was determined to find some place that wasn't overrun by the world's flora. He had gotten on his bike and weaved in and out of plant traffic scouring Somni for something that would even vaguely remind him of the suburban scenery that he was used to. He had sped through most of the first district without much luck and was heading out to the second, hoping that things would look different there. He revved his engine as soon as he cleared past another bundle of vines, hoping that he could just continue to speed on by.
That single action proved to be a mistake when he noticed the upcoming log that had been lying in his path. He hadn't seen it in the beginning considering the way the colors blended but when he did, it was definitely too late. He pulled hard on the brake handle, leaning to the side to make a drift. All that was able to accomplish was to throw him sidewards as soon as he collided with the log.
Before he knew it Travis had found himself lying on his back, staring up at the sky through patches of leaves and weaving branches. Whether he was okay or not was another story.
