Hisoka leaned against the side of the library, panting heavily. Weather like this was hard on him, but the library was quiet, and it helped him keep his center, so he didn't lose control of his empathy. His powers going out of control were the last thing he needed, but the longer this heat wave went on, the harder it was for him to keep control.
Pushing himself off of the building, he clutched the two books he was carrying to him, as he stumbled along the path. There was a large fan in his house, and it would at least help him stay a bit cool, if he had something cool to drink with it.
"Stupid weak body," he muttered under his breath, dipping in the shade of a porch to catch his breath again. If it weren't for the humidity, it might not be so bad, but the heat and the humidity combined were wreaking havoc on him.
